Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is set to introduce its European lifestyle brand Vienna House to India with the signing of Vienna House Easy Vrindavan, a 100-key hotel scheduled to open in 2029.
The property is being developed by entrepreneur Sachin Kumar, owner and operator of Kumar Beverages Industries, in partnership with Nardev Chaudhary. The project marks an expansion of Wyndham’s brand presence in India’s growing hospitality market.
The development comes as Indian travellers increasingly seek hotels that offer more than conventional accommodation, including properties that connect their stay with the culture and experiences of the destination. Vrindavan, which holds considerable spiritual and cultural importance, has also recorded increased visitor numbers in recent years, creating demand for branded hospitality options.
Vienna House Easy Vrindavan is planned as a four-star, 100-key lifestyle hotel combining European-inspired design with elements drawn from Vrindavan’s local character and traditions.
The property is expected to feature an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop infinity pool with a poolside terrace, and banquet facilities. It will also include a vegetarian dining concept influenced by local traditions.
The hotel’s location is expected to provide convenient access to major attractions such as Banke Bihari Temple, Prem Mandir, and ISKCON Vrindavan. It will also be accessible from Mathura Junction, as well as Agra and Delhi.
Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director, Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said the company sees an opportunity to introduce Vienna House to India as travellers increasingly seek hospitality experiences that are connected to the culture and identity of their destinations.
Sachin Kumar, Partner, Vienna House Easy Vrindavan, said the development is intended to capture Vrindavan’s cultural identity while incorporating the design language and hospitality approach associated with the Vienna House Easy brand.
The signing forms part of Wyndham’s broader strategy to grow its presence in India through partnerships with local developers and hotel owners. The company is also evaluating opportunities across different segments of the country’s expanding hospitality market.
Beyond Vienna House, Wyndham is exploring the potential introduction of Wyndham-branded residences in India. The concept would target younger consumers, including Gen Z, as the company looks to respond to changing preferences within the country’s accommodation market.
Wyndham is also considering bringing its Super 8 budget hotel brand to India. If launched, the brand would add another offering to Wyndham’s portfolio as the company assesses opportunities across various segments of the Indian hospitality sector.
The planned Vienna House Easy Vrindavan opening therefore represents more than the entry of a European lifestyle brand into India. It also highlights Wyndham’s strategy of combining internationally recognised hotel concepts with locally relevant experiences while working with Indian partners to expand its footprint.
With the 100-key property scheduled to open in 2029, Vienna House Easy Vrindavan will give Wyndham a presence in one of India’s prominent spiritual and cultural destinations. The project, alongside the company’s exploration of branded residences and Super 8, signals continued efforts to broaden Wyndham’s offering across India’s evolving hospitality landscape.
