Seclude crosses 100 room tally with two new branded homestays in Himachal Pradesh

Seclude, a player in the luxury homestay industry, has signed up a 12-room property in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, bringing its total number of rooms to 100. There are 21 “home-like hotel” rooms available at Seclude’s Kasauli properties in this popular tourist destination.

The latest additions to Seclude’s Himachal hospitality portfolio are Annie’s Song, Kasauli, and Palampur Two Stones, bringing the brand’s total number of rooms to 115. The total renovation and makeover of Annies Song, Kasauli is underway and will likely be completed by the first week of May. Notably, according to figures from Himachal Tourism, the stunning district of Solan, which is home to the town of Kasauli, alone welcomed more than 17 lakh visitors in 2022. Reports indicate that tourist numbers in Himachal are returning to pre-Covid levels.

Using earthy natural materials and modern rustic design philosophy, the latest Palampur homestay is an enticing 4-bedroom property located very close to an existing Seclude property.

“From 99 not out to 115, still swinging the bat, therefore 16 more rooms to create magic in a span of 45 days. That’s the turnaround time for converting a normal room into a Seclude space. The John Denver classic “Annie’s Song” is inspiring the design and ethos of our newest property at Kasauli: “You fill up my senses like a night in a forest,” bringing nature into your living space and colouring it with the brush of warmth. Earthy tones, big picture windows, unique soft lighting, and the signature Seclude luxury comfort are all coming together beautifully. Seclude is also launching its café, restaurant, and bakery at Annie’s Song with a unique ‘foods of the mountains experience”, said Rohit Sethi, founder, Seclude.

The launch follows Seclude’s highlights from the previous year, including ambitious plans to build partnerships with small businesses for merchandising and create a favorable ecosystem that promotes local craftspeople, artists, and service providers. These plans include a 50% growth rate in 2022. Through wellness initiatives and introducing drives across several Seclude properties, Seclude also wants to broaden its product line.

By legally entering the wedding market in 2023, Seclude has also increased the range of services it offers. By the end of 2023, the market leader in homestay and boutique resorts hopes to have 200 staff and more than 200 rooms.

“Talking about the design of the new Palampur property, if you’ve seen the existing red cedar cottage, you’ll notice some similarities. However, we’re taking things up a notch by incorporating some amazing sustainable materials into the design. We’re talking raw rope, clay, slate, natural river stone, raw wood, and linen. These materials not only look beautiful but also have a low impact on the environment. We want to make sure that this property is as sustainable as possible, and we’re excited to see a growing interest in sustainability. Whether you’re looking for a beautiful vacation home or an eco-friendly retreat, Palampur is the perfect choice. We’re confident that you’ll love the unique design and the way it blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment.” added Sethi.
