SaaS startup Clientell raises $2.5mn in seed funding

Clientell, a software provider for enterprises offering sales forecasting and pipeline assessment, announced raising $2.5 million (approximately Rs 20.9 crore) in seed funding. Blume Ventures led the investment, with participation from Chiratae Ventures, Artha Venture Fund, and Z5 Capital.

According to a statement from the early-stage startup, the raised funds will be utilized to enhance the product and grow the team.

Before this, the Bengaluru-based company had secured $600,000 (approximately Rs 5 crore) from Chiratae Ventures and Artha Venture Fund.

Clientell, a revenue operations startup, employs artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance productivity, lower costs associated with multiple tools, and improve data quality within enterprises. It tailors forecasting processes and machine learning models to meet each customer’s specific needs.

Its primary users include chief revenue officers and go-to-market (GTM) leaders who utilize its AI-copilot to enhance go-to-market strategies, optimize pipeline management, and improve sales forecasting. The startup collaborates with initial design partners and early adopters from growth-stage software as a service (SaaS) companies and large pharmaceutical firms.

Clientell was founded by BITS Pilani alumni Saahil Dhaka and Neil Sarkar in their final year of college in 2021. “When the world is talking about 10x developers, we’re focused on bringing useful AI products to help 10x salespeople, CRM (customer relationship management) developers and GTM leaders,” said CEO Dhaka.

“Clientell is targeting the leaky revenue bucket and the lack of comprehensive revenue intelligence and predictability for enterprise sales teams,” said Sanjay Nath, founder and managing partner, Blume Ventures. “As AI penetrates different functions of the enterprise, an AI-first end-to-end connected approach will help sales teams to benefit immediately from deeper insights on their deals and revenue milestones.”
