Bengaluru-based coffee equipment and services provider Kaapi Machines has raised Rs 50 crore in funding from Sedna HoReCa, a private equity-backed B2B solutions provider serving the hospitality and food-service industry. Alongside the investment, the two companies have entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen Kaapi Machines’ growth and operational capabilities.
The fresh capital will support the company’s efforts to expand its product portfolio while enhancing its manufacturing capabilities, technology systems, warehousing infrastructure and after-sales service network.
In addition to strengthening its core business, Kaapi Machines plans to explore selected opportunities in adjacent product categories for its existing customer base by leveraging Sedna HoReCa’s expertise and capabilities.
Founded in 2007, Kaapi Machines supplies coffee equipment and related services to café chains, quick-service restaurants (QSRs), speciality coffee roasters, hotels, retailers, corporate offices and coffee-vending businesses across India.
The company has been led by Managing Director and CEO Abhinav Mathur since 2017.
Kaapi Machines expects to cross Rs 150 crore in revenue during FY27 and plans to significantly expand its operations over the next two to three years.
Commenting on the partnership, Mathur said, “We are excited to partner with the Sedna team as we set forth on our new growth trajectory at Kaapi Machines.”
“As the HoReCa industry continues to grow and gets more organised, we want to expand our capabilities to offer our customers new and innovative products, technologies and solutions,” he said.
The company offers a wide range of coffee solutions, including automatic and semi-automatic espresso machines, coffee grinders, commercial blenders, brewing systems and coffee roasting equipment.
Kaapi Machines also serves as the authorised distributor in India for several global coffee equipment brands, including La Marzocco, Rancilio and Mahlkönig, among others.
Beyond equipment distribution, the company provides end-to-end services such as café consultancy, barista training, latte-art courses, equipment installation, maintenance and after-sales support.
The investment reflects continued investor interest in businesses supporting India’s expanding hospitality and food-service ecosystem. The continued growth of organised cafés, hotels and quick-service restaurant chains is driving demand for specialised coffee equipment and related services, creating new opportunities for companies such as Kaapi Machines.
With the Rs 50 crore investment and strategic partnership with Sedna HoReCa, Kaapi Machines plans to strengthen its operations, broaden its product offerings and scale its presence across India’s growing HoReCa market. The company is targeting more than Rs 150 crore in revenue during FY27 while pursuing expansion opportunities over the next two to three years.
