Hyeglo Beauty, an Indian beauty brand operating at the intersection of makeup and skincare, has raised Rs 7 crore in a seed funding round led by Sauce. The round also saw participation from Giga Capital, backed by Aarti Gill of OZiva Nutrition, Consumer Collective, Arjun Purkayastha, SVP and MD, Greater China and North Asia at Reckitt, and The Patient Capital.
The company is building its product portfolio around the concept of skinified beauty, which combines skincare functionality with cosmetic applications. Furthermore, its products incorporate active ingredients at efficacious concentrations, enabling the formulations to deliver skincare benefits alongside their makeup performance.
Founded in April 2026, Hyeglo is preparing to expand its operations and product range across colour cosmetics and skincare. The fresh funding will support its growth plans, with investments directed towards research and development (R&D), product innovation, and strengthening its market presence.
Kanupriya Ahluwalia founded Hyeglo, bringing nine years of experience in the beauty industry across India and the Middle East. She has previously worked with companies and brands such as Nykaa, Kay Beauty, Noon, and Namshi. Her experience across beauty businesses and retail markets has helped shape the brand’s understanding of evolving consumer preferences and the growing convergence of makeup and skincare.
Kanupriya Ahluwalia, Founder and CEO, Hyeglo Beauty, shared, “Indian women have been asked to choose between makeup that performs and products that are actually good for their skin. We don’t think that trade-off should exist. We started with makeup because that’s where the gap was widest, but our ambition is to define skinified beauty in India, from colour to care. This round lets us double down on R&D and take the category mainstream.”
Yash Dholakia, Partner, Sauce, stated, “The most valuable consumer brands create the category they go on to lead. Indian consumers have become remarkably sophisticated about skincare, and that expectation is now moving into everything they put on their face. Hyeglo is building for that shift with genuine formulation depth, and Kanupriya’s experience scaling beauty brands across two markets makes her the right founder to shape this space. We’re delighted to back her early.”
The company will utilise the newly raised capital to strengthen its R&D capabilities, develop new products, and undertake brand-building initiatives. Additionally, Hyeglo plans to make strategic hires to expand its team and support its growth ambitions in India’s beauty and personal care market.
