Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Tilak Builders & Developers to develop a 219-key resort in Shahapur, located in Maharashtra’s Thane district near Mumbai. The project will cater to leisure travellers, wedding parties, social celebrations and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), strengthening the availability of resort accommodation across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Situated in Shahapur, the upcoming resort will feature a scenic setting surrounded by the Sahyadri foothills, countryside, and nearby water bodies. Furthermore, its road and rail connectivity will provide access for travellers from Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. The property will also be within driving distance of Navi Mumbai International Airport, supporting its potential to attract weekend visitors and event organisers.
The Cygnett Resort, Shahapur, will feature 219 rooms alongside an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, a health club, leisure activity areas, and a dedicated children’s play area. In addition to its accommodation and recreational offerings, the resort will provide extensive facilities for weddings, social celebrations, and corporate gatherings.
The planned event infrastructure will include a 7,000 sq. ft. covered banquet hall connected to a 14,000 sq. ft. lawn, complemented by an additional 45,000 sq. ft. outdoor lawn. Together, these venues will cater to destination weddings, social functions, corporate events, and residential conferences, positioning the property as a destination for both leisure stays and large-scale gatherings.
