Chapter Home secures $6.6 Mn to expand home and kitchen brands

Omnichannel furniture and home furnishings startup Chapter Home has raised Rs 63 crore ($6.6 million) through a strategic funding round comprising debt and equity. The transaction values the company at nearly Rs 1,000 crore (approximately $106 million).

According to a media report, the funding round attracted participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures, comedian Tanmay Bhat and several family offices. Additionally, the startup has secured further commitments from undisclosed investors for a future funding round.

Chapter Home will deploy the fresh capital to strengthen product development, enter new categories, and invest in technology and brand building. It will also allocate a portion of the funds to expand its omnichannel distribution network and establish its initial offline presence.

The company aims to address rising consumer demand for well-designed products, consistent quality, functionality, and seamless shopping experiences across online and offline channels. According to co-founder Nitin Chugh, the startup is building specialised brands across home and kitchen categories to meet these evolving consumer needs.

Founded in 2025 by former PharmEasy executives Nitin Chugh, Akarsh Bharadwaj, Shrey Mittal, Dhiraj Jain, and Dheeraj Goyal, Chapter Home is developing multiple consumer brands for Indian households. The company has already launched HOKIPO, its home furnishings brand.

Going forward, the startup plans to enter adjacent categories, including cookware, home décor, and small kitchen appliances. It intends to leverage shared supply chain, content, technology, and distribution capabilities to support this expansion. Furthermore, Chapter Home plans to integrate artificial intelligence across cataloguing, demand forecasting, product assortment, and customer retention to accelerate product launches and manage costs.

Chapter Home joins a growing group of home improvement ventures founded by former PharmEasy executives. Earlier this year, AllHome, founded by PharmEasy co-founders, raised Rs 200 crore in a Series B funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.

Meanwhile, investor interest in the home improvement and décor segment continues to grow. In August, home décor marketplace Vaaree secured Rs 65 crore in a Series A round co-led by Hero Enterprise and Cap Alpha Ventures. Similarly, D2C homeware startup HomeEssentials raised Rs 70 crore in a pre-Series B funding round led by 360 ONE Asset.

The adjacent kitchen technology segment has also attracted consumer interest amid concerns over LPG supplies. Consequently, more households are exploring alternatives such as induction cooktops, smart appliances, electric rice cookers, and air fryers. Chapter Home plans to tap into this emerging opportunity as it broadens its product portfolio.

The startup is currently targeting India’s home furnishings and décor market, which is projected to reach USD 45.5 billion by 2031.
