Insight Cosmetics targets Rs 500-Cr revenue in next 12-18 months

Homegrown colour cosmetics manufacturer Insight Cosmetics is targeting Rs 500 crore in revenue over the next 12-18 months as it accelerates its omnichannel expansion, strengthens its skincare portfolio and expands its offline retail network across India.

The company reported revenue from operations of Rs 251.99 crore in FY26, marking a 29.1% year-on-year increase from Rs 195.17 crore in FY25. Its total income rose 27.9% to Rs 257.85 crore, while profit before tax (PBT) climbed 64.1% to Rs 44.48 crore. The company posted a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 34.12 crore during the financial year.

Speaking about the company’s growth plans, Mihir Jain, Director, Insight Cosmetics, said, “We are a healthy, profitable company. Last year’s revenue was around Rs 300 crore, and we are a 15-18 per cent EBITDA company. In the next 12-18 months, we plan to grow till Rs 500 crore.”

Led by a second-generation entrepreneur, Insight Cosmetics has transformed from an offline-focused cosmetics brand into a pan-India beauty company. The company, which previously concentrated its presence in western and northern India, now operates across 26 states.

“Our earlier focus was primarily on the offline market, with a strong presence in West and North India. Over time, we have expanded our reach across the country and are now present in 26 states,” Jain said.

Insight Cosmetics currently operates through 30,000-35,000 active retail counters, 360 modern trade outlets, and around 15 online platforms. At the same time, the company is expanding its direct-to-consumer retail strategy through company-owned kiosks.

The brand currently operates 25 kiosks across shopping malls and plans to increase the network to 60 exclusive brand outlets by the end of FY27.

Highlighting the company’s performance on quick commerce platforms, Jain said, “We are recording 100 per cent plus growth year-on-year across all quick commerce platforms.”

To diversify its portfolio, Insight Cosmetics has recently introduced skincare products, including face masks and face sheets, and plans to expand the category further.

Discussing the company’s product roadmap, Jain added, “Skincare is going to be the next growth lever for Insight Cosmetics. We are also increasing launches in lips and eyes categories, and will focus on launching more skincare products in the coming months.”

The company also plans to enter the haircare segment within the next three quarters, further broadening its beauty portfolio.

Insight Cosmetics operates three manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra, where it undertakes formulation, research and production of all its products. With manufacturing facilities currently operating at around 70% capacity utilisation, the company plans to expand production capacity, particularly for its lip and eye product categories.

Commenting on its manufacturing capabilities, Jain concluded, “We manufacture, formulate and conduct research in India. We plan to expand our capacity soon as we continue to scale our launches.”

Backed by strong financial performance and a profitable business model, Insight Cosmetics is expanding across multiple growth channels, including offline retail, quick commerce, skincare and upcoming haircare products. As the company strengthens its manufacturing capacity and deepens its omnichannel presence, it is positioning itself to achieve its Rs 500 crore revenue target while expanding its footprint in India’s fast-growing beauty and personal care market.
