Zappfresh raises Rs 30 cr funding to drive expansion

Online meat seller Zappfresh announced on Thursday that it secured Rs 30 crore from investors, including Ah! Ventures and HT Media, Unity SFB, and Heifer Impact, marking a significant milestone in Zappfresh’s growth trajectory.

The newly acquired funds will be utilized for acquisitions, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades in both the North and South markets.

Zappfresh intends to launch new product lines, expanding its offerings to include a variety of poultry, goat meat, seafood, and ready-to-eat items. 

Founder Deepanshu Manchanda emphasized the crucial support of investors in launching various strategic initiatives.

The company plans to acquire new companies and diversify its product range, aiming to strengthen its position in the market. The backing of investors will play a pivotal role in these endeavours.

Pranjit Talukdar, representative of Heifer Impact, remarked, “Our partnership with Zappfresh is set to improve the livelihoods of many small holder women backyard poultry producers in the country, helping them expand their market reach and generate substantial income.”
