Tathastu Resorts expands wildlife portfolio with launch of Tathastu Satpura Retreat

Tathastu Resorts has expanded its footprint in India’s wildlife hospitality sector with the launch of Tathastu Satpura. With this addition, the group now operates five properties across forest destinations such as Pench National Park, Kanha National Park, Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, and Bandhavgarh National Park. Consequently, the expansion reflects a rising preference for immersive, nature-led travel, particularly across Central India’s forest landscapes.

At the same time, the newly launched retreat offers 34 villa rooms and 5 exclusive pool suites, all thoughtfully designed to deepen guests’ connection with the surrounding forest. Spacious layouts, private verandas, and forest-facing orientations enable uninterrupted engagement with nature. Moreover, the property follows a low-density development model that prioritizes privacy, aligning with the growing demand for boutique, experience-driven wilderness stays.

In terms of dining, the resort introduces ‘Gilhari,’ a multi-cuisine restaurant inspired by the Indian giant squirrel native to the region. Notably, the restaurant and bar incorporate earthy tones and wood-based design elements, thereby mirroring the textures and visual character of the forest. As a result, the property successfully integrates local ecological references into its overall hospitality narrative.

Beyond traditional safaris, the resort curates a diverse set of experiences to enhance guest engagement. While wildlife safaris remain central, visitors can also participate in jungle walks, riverside sundowners, pottery sessions, and reflexology trails. Additionally, indoor and recreational offerings—including a games room, box cricket arena, karaoke, and a temperature-controlled swimming pool—add further depth to the stay experience. Importantly, the resort features a spa where visually impaired therapists provide wellness treatments, thereby embedding a meaningful social impact dimension into its operations.

Meanwhile, Satpura Tiger Reserve is steadily emerging as a compelling alternative to more established wildlife destinations. Known for its rich biodiversity and relatively undisturbed terrain, the reserve offers sightings of tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and a wide variety of bird species. Furthermore, its quieter and less crowded safari environment enhances its appeal among travelers seeking more intimate wildlife encounters.

Therefore, the launch of Tathastu Satpura plays a strategic role in positioning the region within India’s evolving wildlife tourism circuit. At a broader level, the expansion highlights a clear industry shift toward experiential wilderness stays, where travelers increasingly prioritize meaningful engagement with nature over conventional luxury.
