Moustache Group of Hotels has launched Luxuria Gokarna by Moustache, marking its premium hospitality brand’s entry into southern India and strengthening the group’s presence along the western coast. Situated on a hill near Om Beach in Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada district, the property offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding green valleys.
The launch expands Luxuria’s portfolio beyond its established leisure destinations in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and other northern markets. With the addition of the Gokarna property, Luxuria by Moustache now operates 11 properties, while Moustache Group of Hotels has a total portfolio of 38 properties across its Hostels, Select, and Luxuria verticals.
Luxuria Gokarna features 22 accommodation units, including 14 rooms overlooking the central swimming pool, four cottages with private plunge pools, and four cottages equipped with bathtubs. Additionally, two Presidential Suites occupy the upper floors and offer views from multiple sides. The property also provides an in-house restaurant, parking facilities, and a garden to enhance the guest experience.
Commenting on the launch, Abhishek Khandelwal, co-founder and director, Moustache Group of Hotels, said, “Gokarna gives us a very strong combination of beach, culture, and leisure travel, and it has a pace that fits naturally with Luxuria. The property itself sits above the surrounding landscape, so the sea and valley views become a big part of the stay. For us, this is also an important step in taking Luxuria further south and building a stronger presence in destinations where travellers are increasingly looking for quieter, more experience-led holidays.”
Gokarna offers a mix of religious tourism and coastal leisure experiences. The destination draws pilgrims to the Mahabaleshwar Temple, which houses the revered Atmalinga, while its coastline features popular beaches such as Gokarna Main, Kudle, Om, Half Moon, and Paradise. Moreover, the destination attracts visitors seeking beach activities, coastal trails, and wellness experiences.
The launch also comes ahead of Gokarna’s primary travel season, which typically runs from October to February. During this period, favourable conditions support beach visits and outdoor activities, positioning Luxuria Gokarna to cater to travellers seeking premium coastal stays and experience-led holidays.
