Mental healthcare provider Amaha is set to close a ₹100 crore funding round to expand its hospital and clinic network across India. The company will use the capital to strengthen its clinical capabilities, invest in technology, and improve access to specialist mental healthcare for people with moderate to severe mental illnesses and their families.
Following the fundraise, Amaha expects its post-money valuation to reach ₹340 crore to ₹350 crore. The round includes existing investors Lightbox Ventures and Fireside Ventures, alongside London-based life skills platform Sandbox International Holdings Limited (SIHL) and Nithin Kamath through Rainmatter. Additionally, the family offices of Shreyas Shibulal, Ashish Bharat Ram, and Adarsh Jalan are participating in the round, while Alteria Capital will provide ₹10 crore in debt financing.
Amaha plans to establish new hospitals and clinics in key Indian cities while expanding clinical training and supervision. It also aims to strengthen evidence-based treatment protocols to improve the quality and consistency of care. Furthermore, the company will invest in artificial intelligence-enabled tools for patient triage and clinician support, alongside data analytics to coordinate treatment and monitor patient outcomes.
Founded in 2016 by psychiatrist and healthcare entrepreneur Amit Malik, Amaha provides a range of mental healthcare services, including digital self-care, online consultations, outpatient and inpatient treatment, and community support. Its services address conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), addiction, schizophrenia, and personality disorders.
According to Amaha’s Mental Health Report 2026, which analysed responses from 13,825 people, 53% had experienced mental health concerns for more than a year before seeking professional help. Moreover, 94.9% reported experiencing two or more mental health concerns simultaneously, highlighting the need for accessible and comprehensive treatment.
The company currently operates nine centres across Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai, offering services in more than 15 languages. It has delivered over 450,000 therapy and psychiatry sessions to more than 100,000 clients and built a network of over 270 mental health professionals. In addition, its peer support communities have attracted more than 65,000 members.
Amaha launched a 27-bed mental health hospital in Bengaluru in 2025. Building on this presence, the company plans to open its second hospital, featuring 55 beds, in South Bengaluru by the end of December 2026.
