Seclude Hotels expands heritage portfolio with Fort Unchagaon

Seclude Hotels has launched Seclude Fort Unchagaon, a 300-year-old heritage fort in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The launch marks the brand’s largest heritage redesign so far, with the property spread across 19 acres of mango orchards, around two hours from Delhi NCR.

The company has restored the former family estate while preserving its original architecture, royal courts, family collections, and heirlooms. The 22-room property features three distinct sections: The Royal Wing, The King’s Court, and The Queen’s Courtyard.

The Tiger Room showcases hunting artifacts, while a former Air India lounge now displays vintage travel memorabilia. Together, these spaces retain the property’s historical character while giving guests an immersive heritage experience.

Ramit Sethi, Co-Founder, Seclude Hotels, said, “One of the things that sealed it for me was realizing that I was staying in a room where Jawaharlal Nehru had once stayed. I could see how the old kings lived through the photographs on the walls, and everywhere I looked, the spaces were bursting with potential, waiting to be explored. Taking on a property like this is our biggest challenge and our greatest joy—figuring out how to bring all of that history, character, and possibility to life. How could I say no?”

Additionally, guests can explore the fort’s history and collections through an audio trail available on Spotify. The property also offers activities such as pottery, archery, badminton, croquet, village visits, and dolphin watching on the Ganga.

Beyond leisure experiences, Fort Unchagaon provides venues for weddings, celebrations, family gatherings, and corporate offsites. As a result, the property combines heritage hospitality with spaces designed for social and corporate events.

With the launch of Seclude Fort Unchagaon, Seclude Hotels has expanded its heritage hospitality portfolio while bringing a centuries-old family estate back into active use as a destination for travellers, celebrations, and experiential stays.
