Bellona Hospitality, the hospitality arm of The Phoenix Mall of Asia, has launched Eight, a new luxury Pan-Asian bar and restaurant, marking its first appearance in Bengaluru.
Spearheaded by Prashant Issar, Bellona Hospitality’s director, and the culinary expert Chef Sagar Sarkar, Eight derives its name from China’s luckiest number. In Chinese culture, Eight symbolizes qualities like intuition, wealth, prosperity, innovation, abundance, strength, and tradition. The bar, smartly dividing the space, showcases a corrugated corten steel apron and metal bulkhead entwined with rice paper. Offering an exquisite and authentic culinary journey, patrons can relish dishes from Canton, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Japan, as well as signature delicacies from forgotten regions of China.
Regarding the launch, Prashant Issar said, “We are extremely excited for the launch of Eight in Bengaluru. The city has seen an immense boom in the F&B industry, and our passion is to blend the richness of Asian cuisine with the city’s vibrant energy, creating an experience beyond mere dining. We want to create a space where every dish, every cocktail, and every moment is meticulously crafted to mesmerize our patrons and redefine their expectations.”
Being the brand’s third outlet and inaugural presence in Bengaluru, Eight aims to establish itself as a cultural and gastronomic sanctuary, effortlessly combining diverse shopping experiences with upscale dining options.
