Circle Health reaches $1 million ARR within six months of entering the US market; funds to accelerate sales, clinical teams, and technology

National, 15th July 2026: Founded in 2022 by Chaitanya Shravanth, Prerna Raman, Harshvardhan Samvatsar and Krishna G, Circle Health has developed an AI-native, outcomes-first care coordination platform serving the US senior care ecosystem. Its current customers include a combination of Indian and US-based healthcare facilities. The investment round, which was closed in February 2026, brought on A.P.T. Research and Momentum Capital, while existing investors Enzia Ventures and Sparrow Capital doubled down in this round. Proceeds from the investment will be deployed to build out Circle Health’s US sales team, expand its onshore and offshore clinical workforce, and accelerate development of its proprietary AI and technology platform.

The United States spends $1.6 trillion annually on Medicare, covering more than 70 million seniors through a post-acute ecosystem of over 17,000 Skilled Nursing Facilities, 40,000 Assisted Living Facilities, and 100,000 Home Health Agencies. Yet the system is haemorrhaging value, with hospital readmission rates for seniors sitting between 17–30%, generating $26 billion in avoidable hospitalisation costs each year. It is established that Care Coordination helps in reducing hospital readmissions by 15-30% and Emergency Department visits by 12-15%. While payment mechanisms for Care Coordination exist, for example, in the form of CCM, RPM and other programs through Medicare, the economics and effectiveness of implementations were poor until recently. This is rapidly changing with the advent of AI tools.

Circle Health has built an AI-Native Agency, a new category that combines AI-driven workflow automation, a global clinical workforce, and a fully configurable technology platform, all aligned through a revenue-share commercial structure that ties Circle’s economics directly to patient outcomes. At its core, Circle’s operating model works in three integrated layers. Circle’s AI engine drafts clinical notes, performs care gap analysis, monitors patient signals, and generates personalised care summaries, replacing the most time-consuming documentation burden that has historically made care coordination programmes impossible to scale. Circle’s clinical staff, including US-based medical assistants and nurse practitioners, supported by an offshore clinical pool, review, validate, and escalate. Circle’s proprietary technology platform handles billing compliance, configurable care flows, and real-time quality assurance across the entire operation.

“We started with a simple conviction: that care coordination should be measured by what happens to patients, not by how many minutes were logged,” said Chaitanya Shravanth, CEO of Circle Health. “Building that model in India where clients pay for outcomes, not effort, gave us something most US care coordination companies don’t have: the muscle memory of actually doing it. The $1 million ARR milestone in under a year is meaningful, but what excites us more is the pipeline because the demand from physician groups and SNF operators is not the constraint. Execution has always been the constraint. We are here to solve that, and this funding round is a massive vote of confidence for us.”

Circle Health made its first visit to the United States in March 2025. By September 2025, it had collected initial revenue, and by April 2026, exactly one year after entering the market, it crossed $1 million in ARR. The company currently serves clients across a pipeline spanning more than 400 facilities and thousands of beds, including multiple physician groups in the US.

“What drew us to Circle Health is the same thing that makes it genuinely hard to replicate: an outcome-orientation that was built under real pressure, in a market that only pays for results,” said Ankur Shrivastava, Managing Partner at Momentum Capital. “The team didn’t arrive in the US with a theory – they arrived with 100,000 lives of operational data, a clinical workforce already running across three continents, and an AI stack purpose-built for care execution rather than care documentation. In a market where the gap between eligible patients and enrolled patients is enormous, Circle has the infrastructure to close it, and we’re thrilled to partner with them through this journey.”

“We are bullish on the opportunity of building highly profitable companies from India for the large US healthcare market. Circle’s strongest differentiator is not just the outcomes it delivers but also the execution muscle its team has built to consistently deliver them. That muscle has translated into a go-to-market that resonates with key stakeholders across the US healthcare ecosystem. Crossing $1M ARR within six months, with $4–5M of revenue visibility from existing clients, is proof that Circle isn’t just ready for this market; it’s ready to take off from here,” said Jayshree Kanther Patodi, Co-founder and Partner at Enzia Ventures.

About Circle Health:

Circle Health is an AI-native, outcomes-first care coordination platform. They combine AI-driven clinical workflows, a global care management workforce, and a configurable technology platform to deliver end-to-end Care Coordination programme execution for providers.

Atmantan Wellness Centre, part of The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), has announced plans to establish a world-class luxury wellness destination in Hyderabad through a strategic partnership with Swela Realty LLP. The project aims to redefine integrated wellness experiences in India while catering to the growing demand for preventive healthcare, longevity, and holistic wellness among domestic and international travellers.

Swela Realty LLP, led by Swaran Charlakola and Spoorthi Reddy, will develop the project. The initiative draws inspiration from the vision of their mother, the late Dr. Sweta Reddy, who envisioned creating a globally recognized wellness centre in Hyderabad.

Located approximately one hour from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, the upcoming luxury wellness retreat will feature 100 rooms spread across a 50-acre site. The developers expect to open the property during 2028-29. Furthermore, the project will encompass more than 180,000 square feet of built-up space, including over 80,000 square feet dedicated exclusively to advanced wellness infrastructure.

The company selected Hyderabad as the destination due to its rapidly expanding wellness ecosystem, excellent connectivity with major Indian metropolitan cities, and strong access to international markets. Consequently, the retreat will target Indian and global high-net-worth individuals, corporate leaders, wellness-conscious travellers, and guests seeking preventive healthcare solutions and longevity-focused programmes.

Commenting on the announcement, Sharmilee Kapur and Nikhil Kapur, Founders, Atmantan, said, “We were immediately drawn to the natural beauty and energy of this land. Equally meaningful was meeting Mr. Swaran Charlakola and his family, whose deep-rooted belief in wellness and healing is shaped on the strong foundation of natural medicine. Their vision is closely aligned with our conviction that wellness must be integrated, evidence-based, and designed to create lasting outcomes. Together, we look forward to creating a destination in Hyderabad that will help people reclaim their health, reconnect with nature, and experience the very best of integrated wellness.”

Highlighting the brand’s expansion strategy, they further added, “Atmantan specialises in large-format Wellness Centres, and this destination, like all our future projects, will also be in the range of 100 rooms (giving us capacity for around 130-150 guests per day). Our model of Integrated Wellness is something people in India and overseas are seeking actively.”

The upcoming wellness retreat will focus on delivering comprehensive health and wellness solutions through evidence-based therapies and personalized treatment plans. The centre will offer preventive healthcare programmes, advanced diagnostics, therapeutic interventions, stress management solutions, holistic healing practices, and wellness experiences that promote long-term physical and mental well-being.

Sharing his views on the collaboration, Swaran Charlakola, Director of Swela Realty LLP, said, “This partnership with Atmantan marks an important step in bringing a world-class integrated wellness destination to Hyderabad. The world is talking more openly about longevity. As strong believers in the power of natural and holistic health, we recognise that the global conversation around longevity is not a passing trend but a fundamental shift in how people aspire to live. We are looking forward to building a sanctuary with the Atmantan Team that will give life to this shared ambition, long-term value, and a commitment to redefining wellness in the region.”

In addition to its wellness offerings, the property will incorporate a strong sustainability framework. The development will emphasize ecological conservation, biophilic architecture, local cultural integration, and environmentally responsible design principles. Moreover, the project aims to achieve Gold LEED certification, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable hospitality and green building standards.

The project reflects the growing convergence of luxury hospitality, preventive healthcare, wellness tourism, and sustainable development in India.

Direct-to-consumer wellness startup Aarus has officially launched in India, positioning its offerings around functional ingredients delivered through everyday formats such as cocoa drinks, sweeteners, and chewing gum. Notably, the company aims to provide an alternative to conventional pill-based supplements while improving long-term consumer adoption.

Moreover, incubated by the Kanoria Foundation, Aarus is targeting what it describes as the “adherence gap” in preventive healthcare. While many consumers purchase supplements, they often fail to maintain consistent usage. Therefore, Aarus embeds clinically formulated compounds into familiar daily formats, eliminating the need for users to build entirely new habits.

In line with this strategy, the company has introduced its first product, Drift, a nighttime cocoa blend designed to support sleep. The formulation combines botanical extracts, amino acids, and essential minerals, thereby aligning with existing post-dinner routines. As a result, Drift reframes supplementation as a habit-linked ritual rather than a clinical intervention. Additionally, the company revealed that early closed-cohort testing demonstrated improvements in sleep onset and overall sleep quality, with some users even replacing late-night snacking with the drink.

Initially, Drift will launch through a waitlist model before expanding into broader online distribution channels. This phased rollout allows the company to refine its product based on real user feedback.

“We are building products that people can adopt effortlessly by embedding them into their existing routines, rather than asking them to create new ones,” said Yagyesh Kanoria, Founder of Aarus.

“At a broader level, the challenge in preventive healthcare is not just access but consistency—people start with intent but often don’t sustain usage. Our focus is on improving adherence by designing formats that fit naturally into daily life. This approach aligns with a broader global shift, where markets such as the US and Europe are moving away from traditional pill-based supplementation toward products embedded within everyday consumption. We combine scientific rigour with familiar formats, while continuously learning from user behaviour to refine both formulation and delivery.”

Looking ahead, Aarus is building a diversified product pipeline. It includes a focus-enhancing low-calorie sweetener, a mineral-rich salt alternative aimed at reducing sodium intake, and a collagen-support chewing gum. Furthermore, Kanoria, who brings expertise in biochemistry and pharmaceuticals, emphasised that launch timelines will depend on ongoing consumer feedback. Over time, the company plans to expand across multiple wellness categories while strengthening its product-market fit.

Aarus is aligning itself with a growing global shift toward functional, habit-integrated wellness solutions. By combining scientific formulation with everyday consumption formats, the startup is well-positioned to address the critical challenge of consistency in preventive healthcare while tapping into the rapidly evolving D2C wellness market.
The post Wellness startup Aarus enters India with functional wellness products appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.

Plum, the Bengaluru-based employee health benefits platform, secured Rs 193 crore in a Series B funding round. Peak XV Partners led the investment, while existing backer Tanglin Venture Partners and new investor GMO Venture Partners joined in. This capital infusion empowers Plum to enhance its insurance infrastructure significantly.

The company will channel the fresh funds into bolstering technology, recruiting top talent, fortifying enterprise-grade security, and expanding AI-driven claims operations. Additionally, Plum aims to integrate seamlessly with HR and payroll systems. Meanwhile, it plans to widen its healthcare offerings, encompassing preventive care, primary care, mental wellness, and telehealth.

“We made a decision on day one that our north star would be the claims experience,” said Abhishek Poddar, co-founder and CEO, Plum. “This round gives us the capital to move faster on what we know works while expanding the platform across healthcare and employee benefits.”

Founded in 2019 by Poddar and Saurabh Arora, Plum delivers a robust employee health benefits platform. It enables companies to provide insurance and healthcare services effortlessly to their teams. Currently, Plum serves over 6,000 organizations—from nimble startups to giants like CRED, Meesho, PhonePe, and Swiggy—covering more than 600,000 employees.

Previously, the company raised $15 million in its Series A round in 2021, spearheaded by Tiger Global and supported by Peak XV’s Surge, Tanglin Venture Partners, Incubate Fund, and Gemba Capital. In FY25, Plum generated nearly Rs 70 crore in revenue and achieved six months of EBITDA profitability. This latest fundraise follows Plum’s milestone of its first full year of EBITDA and cash flow profitability, highlighting a promising shift toward sustainable growth in the insurtech landscape.

Since its launch, Plum has handled over 500,000 claims efficiently. It slashed median hospital discharge time to 47 minutes and shortened reimbursement turnaround to just 1.5 days. “Plum’s focus on claims and customer experience positions it strongly as enterprises increasingly prioritise employee wellbeing and efficient insurance delivery,” noted GV Ravishankar, managing director at Peak XV.

Plum’s strategic funding round not only fuels its technological edge but also cements its leadership in transforming employee health benefits. As businesses prioritize wellness and efficiency, the company stands poised for exponential growth, setting new benchmarks in India’s insurtech sector.
The post Plum bags Rs 193-Cr in Series B funding to revolutionize employee health benefits appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.

Healthcare platform CureBay has acquired the pharmacy distribution business of Saveo Healthtech, thereby strengthening medicine supply chains across semi-urban and underserved regions. This strategic move significantly enhances CureBay’s ability to streamline last-mile drug delivery while expanding its operational footprint.

Through this acquisition, CureBay integrates a well-established distribution network that caters to more than 10,000 retail pharmacies across southern India. In addition, the deal includes key infrastructure such as distribution hubs in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, advanced procurement systems, and a technology-driven ordering platform. However, the companies have not disclosed the financial details of the transaction.

Notably, this development reflects a broader industry trend where healthcare startups are increasingly focusing on controlling critical components of the value chain. In particular, drug distribution remains a key challenge, as fragmented logistics and frequent stock-outs continue to disrupt patient care, especially outside metro cities. Therefore, this acquisition positions CureBay to address these inefficiencies more effectively.

CureBay, which currently operates over 190 eClinics across 15,000 villages, claims to have served more than one million patients. Furthermore, the company stated that integrating Saveo’s capabilities will enhance inventory visibility, minimize supply gaps, and accelerate fulfilment cycles—especially for chronic therapies and essential medicines.

“Medicines are central to continuity of care,” said Founder and Chief Executive Priyadarshi Mohapatra, adding that the deal would strengthen procurement and enable faster expansion into new geographies.

Moreover, the combined platform is expected to improve demand planning and optimize working capital management—two areas that have historically limited pharmacy access in rural markets. Meanwhile, CureBay continues to scale its clustered expansion strategy, with two clusters reportedly achieving operating profitability in eastern India.

For Saveo, on the other hand, the transaction signals a strategic shift from operating an independent distribution network to becoming part of a broader, integrated healthcare ecosystem. While its existing pharmacy partners will remain within the system, CureBay’s clinics will benefit from a stronger and more reliable backend supply chain. As part of this transition, Saveo Co-founder Amit Kumar will lead pharmacy technology at CureBay, while senior executive Deepak Tiwary will oversee operations. Consequently, this leadership integration will ensure continuity and improve operational efficiency post-acquisition.

At a broader level, this move highlights increasing consolidation within India’s fragmented pharmaceutical supply ecosystem. Startups are now blending digital tools with physical distribution networks to improve accessibility in smaller towns and rural areas, thereby bridging longstanding healthcare gaps.

Backed by prominent investors such as Bertelsmann India Investments, Elevar Equity, and British International Investment, CureBay is steadily positioning itself as a fully integrated healthcare provider. By combining consultations, diagnostics, and pharmacy services, the company aims to serve populations that remain underserved by traditional healthcare infrastructure.

CureBay’s acquisition of Saveo Healthtech’s pharmacy distribution business marks a decisive step toward building a more resilient and efficient healthcare supply chain in India. As the company deepens its reach into semi-urban and rural markets, it is likely to play a pivotal role in improving access to essential medicines and ensuring continuity of care at scale.
The post Healthcare startup CureBay acquires Saveo to strengthen rural supply chains appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.

Preventive paincare startup Betterhood has raised Rs 5 crore in seed funding, led by Kairon Capital, with participation from several prominent angel investors. The investors include Yogesh Kabra of XYXX, Rishubh Satiya of Plix, Rohit Chawla and Sifat Khurana of Innovist, and Shayamal Vallabhjee, a sports scientist and performance coach.

The company will use the newly raised capital to accelerate product development, strengthen its team, and expand its distribution network across both offline and online channels, including e-commerce and quick commerce platforms, founder Vikram Kadam said.

Founded in 2024 by Vikram Kadam and Neha Zade, Betterhood focuses on preventive solutions for pain care and musculoskeletal health. The startup offers products across categories such as posture support, orthotic support, knee and wrist support, and pain relief solutions, aiming to help users manage and prevent physical discomfort more effectively.

“Most consumers in India still respond to pain only after it has become persistent enough to affect everyday life. We believe the real opportunity lies in shifting that behavior earlier—towards prevention, posture correction, recovery, and long-term musculoskeletal care,” Kadam said.

Since its launch, the preventive paincare startup has already served over 60,000 customers. Moreover, the company plans to expand its offline presence in the coming months by partnering with physiotherapy clinics, running communities, and opening wellness stores.

“Musculoskeletal issues today are lifestyle-rooted—shaped by how modern Indians work, commute, move, and rest. This is why Betterhood’s products are designed with the modern user at the centre,” said Zade.

In addition to selling products, Betterhood also provides digital tools on its website that help users identify the root causes of pain in the neck, back, shoulders, and knees. Furthermore, the platform offers a posture analysis tool and has introduced a certification programme for physiotherapists.

Commenting on the investment, Deepankur Malhotra, founder and managing partner at Kairon Capital, said, “Betterhood is addressing a large and highly underserved consumer need at the intersection of health, wellness, and lifestyle. What stood out to us was the founders’ clarity of thought, strong early execution, and the opportunity to build a differentiated, education-led brand in preventive pain care.”

With this milestone, the firm is strengthening its commitment to building and scaling healthcare companies across India and the US–India corridor by leveraging its proven company-building model.

Through this fund, W Health Ventures will actively support the creation, incubation, and expansion of healthcare startups that address critical gaps in clinical delivery and healthcare operations. Moreover, the firm will focus on developing technology-first, scalable healthcare solutions that can deliver long-term impact.

Commenting on the fund’s strategy, Managing Partner Pankaj Jethwani explained that the firm co-founds companies from inception, enabling founders to tackle underserved areas with deep operational involvement. “Our Fund I portfolio has already impacted 25 million lives globally, and we aim to scale this to a billion lives over the next two decades,” he added. In line with this vision, Fund II will incubate 8–10 new companies, deploying Rs 30–50 crore per venture.

As part of its early execution, W Health Ventures has already launched Everhope Oncology, a national oncology platform co-founded with Narayana Health, as the first company under Fund II. At the same time, the firm is incubating a stealth venture that is enabling US-based psychiatry clinics to expand access to advanced treatments for treatment-resistant depression.

Meanwhile, Partner Gaurav Porwal emphasised the firm’s strong backing from its limited partners and reaffirmed its focus on building foundational healthcare companies. He highlighted that W Health Ventures continues to prioritise high-impact sectors, including oncology, preventive healthcare, geriatrics, and chronic care management, where long-term innovation remains critical.

With the successful initial close of Fund II, W Health Ventures is reinforcing its position as a leading healthcare company builder, focused on scalable innovation and cross-border impact.
The post W Health Ventures closes Rs 550-Cr Fund II to to back high-growth health startups appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.
