When Sankari Sudhar realized that highly educated women, many with master’s degrees and PhDs, were still sidelined from the workforce, she decided to act. What began as a simple idea to connect women with jobs has evolved into Overqualified Housewives, a platform that blends opportunities, skill development, mentorship, and storytelling to help women reclaim their professional identity.

Driven by her experiences of struggling to find reliable opportunities, Sankari turned skepticism into action. Today, her work empowers homemakers, career returnees, and graduates alike, proving that women’s empowerment is not just about education, it’s about access, confidence, and financial independence. Join us as we dive into the mind of a true pioneer, whose passion for empowerment has sparked more than just a platform — it has ignited a movement that’s reshaping how India views women, work, and financial independence.

1. Can you walk us through the early days of building this platform, what were some key turning points or challenges that defined your path?

When I first started building Overqualified Housewives, I assumed most women we’d support would share a background similar to mine, educated, professionally exposed, and simply seeking a career restart. But the reality turned out to be very different.

Many women who joined had strong academic credentials, master’s degrees, even PhDs, yet had never worked formally. Around 40% of our users hold two or more degrees, while 25% never entered the workforce, often due to cultural or family pressures. For many, higher education was encouraged, but pursuing a career was not. This revealed a crucial gap: degrees alone weren’t enough — women needed practical skills and mentorship to re-enter the job market.

Initially, our vision was to connect businesses with skilled women ready to restart. But we quickly realized opportunities alone wouldn’t work. To make them meaningful, women also needed upskilling, training, and guidance. That insight reshaped our mission, evolving the platform into a holistic ecosystem that offers full-time, part-time, and freelance opportunities, alongside skill-building programs and mentorship.

Another breakthrough was sharing women’s stories. These narratives not only inspired others but also helped break deep-rooted cultural barriers.

Looking back, these early lessons transformed our platform into more than just a career bridge. It became an inclusive space where overqualified homemakers, career returnees, and skilled graduates gain the confidence, tools, and opportunities they need to thrive.

2. Many would hesitate to step into an unconventional space like this. What gave you the conviction to pursue it despite societal norms or market skepticism?

I never spent much time worrying about skepticism or societal norms. My conviction came from lived experience. As a professional, I often struggled to find reliable opportunities, and I saw countless women facing the same challenge. Instead of dwelling on the problem, I chose to build the solution: a trusted space where women can access meaningful work.

From a young age, I’ve believed women deserve choices, to study, pursue ambitions, and achieve financial independence. That belief kept me going, even when others doubted the vision. Skepticism, after all, reflects how deeply society has been conditioned. If we stop sharing stories or raising our voices, nothing changes.

The numbers speak for themselves: in 2024, just 19% of urban, educated Indian women participate in the workforce, even though girls consistently top in academics across India and globally. The gap isn’t education, it’s the leap to financial independence.

What struck me most is that hesitation often comes not from tier-three or low-income families, but from middle and upper-middle-class women, who face cultural pressure despite their degrees. That’s why we focus on storytelling, awareness, and action to normalize women making their own financial choices.

For me, it’s not about resisting society. It’s about creating change so women everywhere can pursue independence with confidence.

3. How does Overqualified Housewives function as a platform—what’s the core model behind connecting skilled women with flexible work opportunities?

At its core, Overqualified Housewives is a holistic platform that connects businesses seeking flexible and skilled talent with graduate women who are eager to restart their careers. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to help women become financially independent while enabling businesses to access a pool of reliable, highly qualified candidates.

Many of the women on our platform, Overqualified Housewives, are career restarters who face significant barriers when re-entering the workforce. One of the biggest challenges is the unconscious bias that exists, especially against mothers. There’s even a term for it, the “motherhood penalty.” Too often, women are unfairly judged as being less committed, less dependable, or too emotional once they become mothers. As a result, businesses hesitate to hire them, even though these women are highly capable and skilled.

We created Overqualified Housewives to break these barriers. Every candidate on our platform is vetted and verified, ensuring that businesses can hire with confidence. Overqualified Housewives operates on a subscription-based model where companies pay a fixed fee to access our women-only talent pool. Unlike traditional hiring platforms, we don’t charge commissions per hire. Instead, businesses get unlimited access to a diverse pool of top-quality candidates, allowing them to scale their teams efficiently.

Through this model, we’re creating a win-win solution: more women gain opportunities to rebuild their careers, and businesses benefit from trustworthy, skilled employees who bring both expertise and commitment.

4. How do you identify and build partnerships with businesses that are aligned with your mission and open to hiring women returning to the workforce?

Our primary focus has always been content marketing. Instead of chasing quick wins, we’ve built a long-term strategy centered on storytelling and meaningful engagement. We don’t just post for visibility; we create narratives that resonate with women who feel overlooked or underutilized.

This approach has allowed us to build trust and authenticity with our audience. Every article, campaign, and social post is designed to educate, inspire, or empower. By consistently delivering value, we’ve been able to grow organically and establish a strong community that identifies with our mission.

At the heart of our strategy is a simple belief: when you lead with value, people respond with loyalty. We’ve seen firsthand how women connect with our stories, adopt that mindset, and find joy in being part of something bigger than themselves. And that, to me, is the most rewarding outcome of all.

5. In your experience, what are the most common barriers skilled homemakers face when trying to re-enter the workforce, and how does your platform address them?

One of the most common barriers women face is finding opportunities that offer true flexibility. Many talented women want to return to work after a career break, but rigid job structures often make it difficult for them to balance personal responsibilities with professional aspirations.

Another major challenge is the lack of awareness about alternative career paths. Too often, women believe they must return to the exact same roles they left behind. But in reality, there are countless opportunities where their skills and experiences can be transferred and valued.

At Overqualified Housewives, we emphasize skill-building, mentorship, and confidence restoration. Our goal is to help women recognize that they are not starting from scratch — they are restarting from a place of experience and resilience. When they adopt this mindset, re-entering the workforce becomes far easier and more empowering

6. How do you manage the delicate balance between being a mission-led brand and a scalable, sustainable business?

Overqualified Housewives has always been designed as a mission-led brand, because the mission is truly at the core of everything we do. From the beginning, I believed that if we focused on creating genuine impact and serving women wholeheartedly, the rest would follow.

When I first started, my expectation was modest, I thought maybe 1,000 women would join within the first year. But to my surprise, in just the first month alone, 500 women came on board. By the end of that first year, the community had grown to more than 10,000 women. Those numbers showed us the power of a mission-driven approach.

It’s the mission that made our platform scalable. It’s the mission that turned it into a sustainable business. When you prioritize solving real problems and delivering value without compromising your vision, growth becomes a natural outcome. And today, with the support of technology, scaling that mission and building a long-lasting, sustainable brand has become even more achievable.

7. Are there any policy or structural changes you’d like to see in the employment ecosystem that could support your vision more effectively?

Yes, Definitely. When it comes to policies that support women, it cannot be the responsibility of just one person or one institution. A woman may give birth, but it takes the combined effort of companies, governments, communities, and families to create an ecosystem where she feels supported, and never guilty, for choosing to work.

Companies, in particular, must step up with stronger policies around flexibility, inclusion, and trust. The workplace environment needs to empower women rather than make them feel as though their choices are wrong. The government also plays a critical role in setting the tone through progressive policies, while communities and families shape mindsets that allow women to pursue their ambitions without judgment.

Unfortunately, many families still view women’s degrees as a status symbol rather than a professional asset. Degrees are often seen as tools to secure a “suitable” match — an engineer marrying an engineer, or a doctor marrying a doctor — instead of being valued for the skills and careers they can unlock. This mindset limits choice and continues to undervalue women’s professional potential.

To change this, we need more open-mindedness, especially in unconventional hiring. Businesses that have embraced this approach are already seeing results, because they’re tapping into talent that would otherwise remain hidden.

India has the highest number of overqualified housewives in the world, an enormous, untapped resource. If companies recognize this potential and commit to offering flexible and reliable opportunities, the payoff could be transformative. As India works toward becoming a global superpower, solving this equation is not just important, it’s essential.

8. Many talented women feel undervalued or disconnected after a career break. How do you personally navigate and address the emotional and psychological aspects of this journey through your platform, beyond just providing job opportunities?

After a career break, many women naturally feel undervalued and disconnected. But the first step is reminding them they’re not alone, and that taking time off is absolutely okay. Bringing life into the world is the most important work there is, and pausing a career for it should never diminish confidence.

That’s why we run skill development programs, where industry experts engage with our women weekly. This keeps them connected to current trends, helps them decide whether to return to their field or pivot to something new, and shows them the paths others have taken.

My own journey reflects this: I began as an engineer, worked in IT, then chose entrepreneurship for a more meaningful second innings. Likewise, a banker can become a designer, or an IT architect can transition into teaching. With the right skills and community, every path is valid.

By showcasing real women who’ve successfully restarted, we prove that it’s possible, and that confidence fuels the leap to the next level.

9. In building Overqualified Housewives, how have you balanced honoring the traditional roles many women embrace with empowering them to reclaim their professional identities on their own terms?

When we launched Overqualified Housewives, a common misconception surfaced: some people assumed we were devaluing homemakers. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

Our mission is simple — every woman deserves a choice.

At one stage in my life, I chose to be a homemaker because it was the best decision for my child. Many women make the same choice, and if caring for their families gives them identity, joy, and belonging, that is equally powerful and valid.

But choice works both ways. Some women may want to freelance for a few hours a day. Others may crave full-time careers beyond traditional roles of wife, mother, or daughter-in-law. If they feel unfulfilled by only household responsibilities, they must have the opportunity to pursue something more.

We are not putting down housewives. We are saying women should have the freedom to define their own paths, whether that’s managing a home, freelancing, or building a career.

10. What role do you believe technology and digital platforms must play in redefining women’s participation in the workforce, particularly in contexts where social expectations are deeply entrenched?

Technology has been a game-changer for us. When we started nearly three years ago, just before COVID-19, remote work was considered a privilege reserved for senior professionals. For most, it wasn’t even an option.

Then the pandemic changed everything. Suddenly, work-from-home became mainstream, internet access expanded even into Tier 4 towns, and laptops and digital tools became widely available. This shift opened new doors for women to upskill, connect with like-minded professionals, and re-enter the workforce.

Of course, technology is a double-edged sword. Its impact depends entirely on how we use it. But when applied with purpose, it enables scalability, flexibility, and access, making it possible for women everywhere to pursue meaningful careers.

11. Looking back, what’s the most unexpected lesson you’ve learned about leadership or impact while driving a mission that intersects entrepreneurship with social change?

One of the most unexpected lessons I’ve learned is realizing my privilege, to have a supportive family, quality education, and the freedom to choose my own path. Not everyone, whether man or woman, has this choice. And with privilege comes responsibility: we must use it to create impact and add value to others’ lives.

Working for social change has shown me many stories that are difficult to accept. Some women we aim to support aren’t ready to take the leap, no matter how much we encourage them. At times, our efforts feel wasted. But that’s part of the journey.

The key is persistence. Change doesn’t happen overnight. Just like water slowly shapes stone through constant drops, impact requires steady effort, regardless of immediate results. Entrepreneurship is never easy, and building a social-impact venture is even harder. Yet, what matters is showing up consistently, pushing forward, and delivering on our mission.

That’s the real lesson — to keep striving, even when outcomes are uncertain.

12. When you’re building something that challenges traditional norms, like the idea that homemakers are ‘underutilized’—how do you handle resistance, not just from the market, but from within the very community you’re trying to uplift?

Of course, there will always be underutilization and resistance when we challenge traditional norms. But what I’ve learned is this: while a few may openly criticize on social media, many more are silently watching and slowly changing their mindset. Over the past three years, I’ve witnessed remarkable shifts, especially among men.

One man told me that after following Overqualified Housewives, he finally understood his wife’s struggles. With his support, they launched a social media agency together. Another founder shared how his sister, once discouraged from studying, fought through resistance, built a career, and later funded his college fees, a turning point that reshaped his views on women’s financial independence.

These stories prove that our work doesn’t just empower women. It also empowers men to become allies. Actual change happens when both men and women support each other, breaking cycles of bias and unlocking real potential.
The post From Homemakers to High Achievers: How Sankari Sudhar Empowers Overqualified Housewives appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.

In an era where universities are moving beyond traditional infrastructure, Madhavi Shankar is at the forefront of revolutionizing student life through smart campus solutions. As the Co-founder and CEO of SpaceBasic, Asia’s largest AI-powered platform for student housing, cafeteria management, and smart ID automation, Madhavi is transforming how campuses operate—making them smarter, more efficient, and better equipped to meet the needs of today’s students.

Recognized globally as a Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 honoree and Entrepreneur India’s Under 35 leader, Madhavi has also been celebrated by the Government of India and the United Nations as one of the 30 Women Transforming India. But beyond accolades, it’s her product-first mindset and unwavering focus on solving real-world problems that sets her apart.

In this exclusive interview with Business Review Live, Madhavi dives into how SpaceBasic is unlocking 3x cost savings and 5x operational efficiency for universities, while staying true to its core mission—empowering student success through technology that feels intuitive, not invasive. From scaling across geographies to embedding sustainability into the digital backbone of campuses, her vision for smart campus solutions is reshaping higher education from the ground up.

1. SpaceBasic has become a game-changer in campus automation. What were the early indicators that convinced you this was not just a product but a scalable solution with the potential to redefine student living and learning infrastructure in Asia?

The inspiration behind SpaceBasic came from the everyday chaos I witnessed on campuses. Students were queuing for hours just to submit a form or request a room change. At the same time, administrators were buried in spreadsheets, phone calls, and paper logs. Campus operations clearly weren’t built to scale.

As we dug deeper, we discovered a critical insight—over 80% of universities across Asia used minimal or no digital tools outside the classroom. While the rest of the world was embracing digital transformation, campus life remained stuck in outdated systems.

That insight drove us to launch our first pilot. The response exceeded expectations. Students quickly adopted the platform and began using it daily. More importantly, university staff—initially hesitant—soon asked for more automation. This behavior shift proved that SpaceBasic wasn’t just solving a pain point; it was enabling real change.

Today, SpaceBasic powers campus operations for over 500,000 users across Asia. What began as a solution for operational chaos has evolved into a powerful platform redefining how students live, learn, and connect within campus ecosystems.

2. Given your platform’s deep integration with AI, how do you ensure that automation enhances—not replaces—human decision-making in academic and residential ecosystems? What role do you foresee AI playing in shaping the future of student experiences?

At SpaceBasic, we’re very intentional about how we use AI. It’s not meant to replace human decisions—it’s here to eliminate repetitive tasks and free up time for what truly matters.

For example, AI handles room allocation and occupancy tracking with ease. Instead of using spreadsheets or relying on word-of-mouth, our system predicts vacancies, flags double bookings, and suggests the best room assignments based on student preferences. In food management, AI uses real-time consumption data to plan meals, reduce waste, cut costs, and adapt to dietary habits.

But humans remain at the center of it all. Administrators receive smart suggestions—not fixed instructions. AI acts as a support system, helping staff focus on student wellbeing instead of routine operations.

Looking ahead, we believe AI will drive more personalized and responsive student experiences. From promoting healthier habits to optimizing campus resources, AI will help ensure no student is left behind. It’s all about building smarter, more human-centered campuses.

3. With users spanning India, Malaysia, and Vietnam, how do you adapt your product to meet region-specific challenges in infrastructure, tech readiness, and student behavior while maintaining a unified platform experience?

While core campus challenges—like manual processes, poor communication, and outdated systems—are common across Asia, how they appear varies by country. The issues we see in India are not always the same in Malaysia or Vietnam.

That’s why we built SpaceBasic to be modular. The core platform stays the same, but universities can activate features based on their digital readiness—whether that’s enabling online payments, integrating student IDs, or automating housing operations.

We also invest heavily in understanding local student behavior. From food preferences and device usage to how students interact with campus staff, these insights help us design workflows that feel natural and intuitive for users.

At the same time, we ensure a consistent user experience. Whether a student is in Delhi or Da Nang, using SpaceBasic should feel equally seamless and familiar. It’s about being regionally relevant while maintaining a unified, global standard—and we’re constantly evolving to do it even better.

4. As universities increasingly look to tech platforms to support holistic student success, how does SpaceBasicstrike a balance between operational automation and building meaningful engagement within the student community?

At SpaceBasic, our mission goes beyond automation—we aim to simplify campus life through a single, integrated platform that brings daily operations and communication together.

By automating key functions like housing, cafeteria management, payments, and access control, we give students and staff back their time. With the basics running smoothly, campuses can focus on what really matters—community, wellbeing, and meaningful connections.

Once routine admin work fades into the background, campuses can truly engage students using feedback tools, event features, real-time collaboration, and smart notifications. When staff stop firefighting and start focusing on experience, the entire campus environment transforms.

That’s the real impact of automation—and that’s the layer SpaceBasic is proud to enable.

5. Sustainability is becoming integral to campus operations. How does SpaceBasic contribute to universities’ green goals, and what innovations are you exploring to make student housing and cafeterias more sustainable through data insights and automation?

Sustainability is no longer a choice—it’s a necessity. At SpaceBasic, we believe technology can drive that change across campuses.

Our platform helps universities reduce waste and optimize resources using automation and real-time data. In cafeterias, we track consumption patterns to cut food waste and align meal planning with actual demand. Some campuses have reduced overproduction by up to 30% just through better visibility.

In student housing, we’re developing tools that monitor occupancy trends and utility usage. These insights help campuses improve room allocations and lower energy consumption. Our smart access control also limits unnecessary movement, making buildings more efficient.

Looking ahead, we’re building advanced sustainability dashboards. These will allow universities to track their carbon footprint across housing and dining in real-time—and act on it. At SpaceBasic, we’re focused on making sustainability practical. We help campuses go green—without adding complexity.

6. Universities, especially in Asia, can be complex when it comes to procurement and adopting new tech. What have been the biggest hurdles in driving adoption of SpaceBasic, and how have you tackled resistance to change among institutions?

One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced is institutional inertia. Many campuses still rely on outdated systems and manual workflows, making change feel risky or overwhelming.

At SpaceBasic, we tackle this by starting small. We focus on solving one clear pain point—like room transfers or meal planning—and deliver quick, visible results. Once teams see the value, they’re more open to scaling the solution.

We also work hand-in-hand with campus staff during onboarding. It’s not just about rolling out software—it’s about making the transition smooth and supportive. By co-creating workflows and keeping the platform user-friendly, we reduce resistance and build trust. Ultimately, adoption happens when technology feels like a helping hand, not another hurdle. That’s the experience we strive to deliver.

7. You speak about 3x cost savings and 5x operational efficiency. Could you unpack how you measure this impact and how those metrics have evolved with the platform’s growth?

When we mention 3x cost savings and 5x operational efficiency, it’s not just marketing—it’s based on real results from our partner universities.

SpaceBasic helps cut costs by reducing food waste, minimizing manual work, and replacing outdated, paper-based processes. For instance, one university using our cafeteria module lowered food overproduction by nearly 30% by syncing meal planning with real-time student attendance and preferences. That not only saves money but also supports sustainability goals.

On the efficiency front, tasks like room assignments, check-ins, and maintenance requests now take minutes instead of days. Some campuses have seen up to an 80% drop in admin workload for key processes.

As more data flows through the platform, our AI and analytics continuously improve. We also provide each university with an impact dashboard to track real-time savings and efficiency gains. At its core, it’s not just about numbers—it’s about removing friction, saving time, and helping campuses shift focus back to what truly matters: the student experience.

8. Post-pandemic, there’s a growing focus on hybrid and resilient educational infrastructure. How do you see digital-first platforms like SpaceBasic influencing the design and operation of future campuses—from planning to day-to-day management?

The pandemic changed how universities view infrastructure. It’s no longer just about buildings—it’s about how flexible and responsive those spaces are.

Digital-first platforms like SpaceBasic now form the backbone of modern campuses. We’re not just integrating into legacy systems; we’re reimagining how campuses operate. Real-time data on room occupancy, cafeteria usage, and student flow empowers universities to plan smarter—optimizing space, energy, and staffing.

Operationally, it’s about building resilience. Whether students are learning on-site or remotely, SpaceBasic keeps housing, access, payments, and communication running seamlessly—ensuring continuity through any disruption.

Looking forward, campuses won’t just add tech—they’ll be built around it. With automation, AI, and real-time insights at their core, universities can become more student-focused, sustainable, and future-ready.

9. As SpaceBasic expands across countries, how do you ensure that rapid scaling doesn’t compromise your core mission of empowering student success and operational sustainability?

At SpaceBasic, scalability is fundamental—but we believe true growth should never compromise our mission: supporting student success and driving operational sustainability.

Our platform is modular and API-first, enabling universities to customize their experience while preserving a consistent, unified interface. This design allows us to expand rapidly across geographies—like India, Malaysia, and Vietnam—without sacrificing value or adding unnecessary complexity.

To maintain quality, we’ve built robust onboarding and customer success systems that ensure every institution sees real, lasting benefits—not just new features. Our key performance indicators focus on adoption, engagement, and retention—not just revenue growth.

What truly powers our scale is real-time feedback and data. Each new campus enriches our platform, allowing us to improve performance and usability with every deployment. That’s the power of SaaS done right.

For us, scaling isn’t about vanity metrics—it’s about delivering measurable, meaningful outcomes at every step.

10. As a woman entrepreneur in the deep-tech and education space, what unique perspectives or approaches have you brought to leadership, and how do you see your role in inspiring the next generation of women innovators?

At SpaceBasic, I’ve always taken a product-first approach—rooted in solving the real, everyday challenges faced by students and campus teams. This means listening closely to user feedback, simplifying complex workflows, and building technology that’s intuitive, human-centered, and impactful. For me, innovation is only meaningful when it creates tangible change—and that’s what drives long-term success in education technology.

To the next generation of innovators—especially women—I want to share this: you don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room to lead with strength. Purpose-driven leadership, constant curiosity, and surrounding yourself with people who challenge and inspire you—that’s what creates resilient, visionary teams. These values have shaped my journey, and they’re the kind of leadership principles I strive to live by every day.
The post SpaceBasic’s Vision for the Future: Revolutionizing Campuses with Smart Campus Solutions appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.

In a rapidly evolving retail landscape where consumer expectations shift overnight, few leaders stand out for their clarity of vision and ability to adapt with purpose. Kashika Malhotra, Director and Head of Business Development at Brandman Retail, is one such trailblazer. Armed with deep market insight and an unwavering passion for building meaningful brand experiences, she’s on a mission to reshape how global brands connect with Indian consumers.

Under her leadership, Brandman Retail has emerged as a powerhouse in premium brand licensing, offering a seamless bridge between international labels and India’s richly diverse, value-conscious market. From launching legacy global brands like Rockport with digital-first strategies to pioneering local manufacturing, data-driven marketing, and region-specific storytelling, Kashika is championing a smarter, more sustainable model of retail growth.

In this exclusive interview, she shares her journey, the company’s localization-first philosophy, and how Brandman Retail is leading innovation, enhancing customer experience, and setting new benchmarks in omnichannel retail. Whether you’re a retail enthusiast, a brand strategist, or a business leader eyeing India’s potential—this conversation is packed with insights that matter.

1. Global brands entering India often face challenges in adapting to the local market. What key factors determine the success of an international brand in India, and how does Brandman Retail ensure a smooth market entry?

India’s diverse culture, price sensitivity, and regional preferences make it a dynamic yet challenging market. For global brands to thrive here, striking the right balance between localization and brand integrity is key.

At Brandman Retail, we start by understanding the brand’s core identity and aligning it with Indian consumer behavior. Our approach is backed by data-driven insights, a strong retail network, and a reliable distribution system, ensuring a seamless market entry.

From tailoring product assortments to launching region-specific marketing campaigns, our localization strategy is designed to meet local tastes while maintaining global standards. We also adapt retail formats to suit consumer expectations across various regions, delivering a personalized and impactful brand experience.

2. With the rise of e-commerce and direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, how do you see the role of traditional retail evolving in India? What strategies is Brandman Retail implementing to stay ahead of these industry shifts?

Traditional retail has evolved beyond mere transactions—it’s now a powerful platform for brand storytelling, engagement, and immersive experiences.

At Brandman Retail, we’re reimagining physical stores as interactive brand hubs, seamlessly connected with our digital channels. By harnessing insights from our DTC and e-commerce platforms, we optimize in-store inventory, deliver personalized shopping experiences, and foster customer loyalty.

Our goal is simple: to make every retail touchpoint—whether online or offline—a meaningful part of the consumer journey.

3. Indian consumers are becoming more brand-conscious yet demand value-driven purchases. How does Brandman Retail balance premium brand positioning with the price sensitivity of the Indian market?

At Brandman Retail, we believe aspiration shouldn’t come at the cost of affordability. We strike this balance by curating accessible product lines within premium brands and offering flexible pricing across categories. Our focus on quality, durability, and customer experience ensures that value remains at the forefront.

Through deep market segmentation, we introduce tiered pricing, smart bundles, and targeted promotions—all while preserving brand equity and delivering on consumer expectations.

4. Consumer behavior is rapidly changing, especially with Gen Z and millennial shoppers. How do you leverage data and insights to tailor marketing and retail strategies that resonate with these demographics?

Gen Z and millennials are digital-first, experience-driven, and socially aware—and we’re meeting them where they are. At Brandman Retail, we leverage AI-powered analytics, social listening, and real-time customer feedback to understand their preferences, behaviors, and engagement trends. These insights help us craft targeted marketing campaigns, influencer partnerships, exclusive product drops, and store layouts that align with their lifestyle.

Beyond the store, we foster brand loyalty through community-led experiences—like fitness runs, art collaborations, and sustainability workshops—that speak directly to their values and passions.

5. Sustainability is becoming a critical factor in retail. How does Brandman Retail work with international brands to align their sustainability goals with the expectations of the Indian market?

Sustainability is a shared journey—and at Brandman Retail, we co-create impactful strategies with our partner brands that align with global goals while staying relevant to local needs.

We integrate sustainable practices across the value chain—from eco-friendly packaging and recycling programs to local sourcing and green retail formats. Our digital campaigns spotlight brands leading the way in sustainability and innovation, encouraging conscious consumption and raising awareness across India’s evolving retail landscape.

6. Fast fashion and excessive consumerism often conflict with sustainability efforts. What are some innovative ways the retail industry can encourage responsible consumption while maintaining profitability?

At Brandman Retail, we believe education and engagement are powerful tools for driving conscious consumption.

By sharing the story behind each product—its craftsmanship, sustainability credentials, and lasting value—we encourage customers to choose quality over quantity. We’re also exploring innovative strategies like subscription models, take-back programs, and limited-edition drops that highlight exclusivity, sustainability, and long-term value.

7. How is technology transforming retail expansion and business development? Are there any specific digital tools or AI-driven solutions that Brandman Retail is leveraging for brand strategy and consumer engagement?

Technology is transforming retail—driving hyper-personalization, operational efficiency, and smarter decisions.

At Brandman Retail, we harness AI and predictive analytics for demand forecasting, location planning, and customer journey mapping. Tools like CRM automation and digital store design simulations help us enhance engagement and boost conversions. We’re also investing in advanced omnichannel dashboards that unify customer data across platforms, enabling faster, more agile responses to shifting consumer needs.

8. Omnichannel retailing is becoming a necessity rather than an option. What challenges do international brands face in integrating offline and online experiences in India, and how does Brandman Retail address these?

Maintaining consistency across channels—in pricing, branding, and service quality—is one of retail’s biggest challenges. At Brandman Retail, we tackle this by investing in a robust tech stack and collaborating with leading logistics partners to streamline order fulfillment and inventory management. To ensure a seamless brand experience, we deliver unified customer service training across all touchpoints, aligning every interaction with our brand promise.

9. Brand licensing, distribution, and retail management come with unique challenges. What are some common pitfalls brands encounter when entering the Indian market, and how does your team help them navigate these complexities?

A common mistake brands make is underestimating India’s regional diversity and logistical complexity. Other pitfalls include overinvesting in CAPEX without market validation or applying global strategies without adapting them to local consumer behavior. At Brandman Retail, we take a phased and data-driven approach. We start with test markets, launch pilot stores, and use real-time insights to guide expansion.

To reduce market entry risks, we also support regulatory compliance, brand protection, and supply chain localization—ensuring every step is both strategic and sustainable.

10. Brand partnerships are at the core of your role. Could you share an example of a successful market entry strategy that Brandman Retail executed, and what key lessons other global brands can learn from it?

A standout example is our successful launch of Rockport, the iconic American footwear brand, in India. We adopted a digital-first strategy—driven by targeted media campaigns, influencer content, and e-commerce activations that highlighted the brand’s core values of comfort and everyday versatility. As Rockport’s exclusive licensee in India, we manufacture locally, allowing us to customize styles and pricing to suit Indian consumers while staying true to the global brand identity.

The response was immediate—Rockport gained strong online traction within weeks. We’re now planning selective retail rollouts across key cities.

The takeaway? Local manufacturing, digital-first visibility, and market-relevant storytelling are key drivers of successful brand entry and long-term growth in India.
The post How Kashika Malhotra is Driving Brandman Retail’s Bold Vision in India’s Dynamic Market? appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.

In a world racing toward digital transformation, where AI and automation redefine industries, one question stands tall—how do we retain the essence of human connection? Coaching, once seen as a personal development tool, is now a catalyst for transformational leadership, emotional intelligence, and holistic growth. At the heart of this evolution is Honey Gudh, an ICF-MCC Credentialed Leadership Coach, Head Coach Trainer, and Co-founder of Cocoweave Coaching International. With a deep-rooted passion for human potential, she champions a future where coaching blends innovation with empathy, shaping individuals and teams to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

In this exclusive conversation, Honey Gudh shares her insights on the future of coaching, the impact of AI, the need for inclusivity, and how Cocoweave is pioneering a shift toward human-centered leadership. Let’s dive into her transformative vision.

1. What inspired you to establish Cocoweave Coaching International, and how does your approach differ from traditional coaching methodologies?

Cocoweave Coaching International was founded to foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and collaboration that drives real change. We saw a major gap in traditional corporate learning, training, and development. Many workplaces were rigid and lacked the psychological safety needed for individuals to thrive. Our goal is to create environments—whether in corporate settings or personal interactions—where human connections come first. By using advanced tools and techniques, we promote a culture that is progressive, inspiring, and highly collaborative.

What makes Cocoweave unique is our integrative approach. Unlike one-size-fits-all coaching models, we rely on evidence-based methods. We blend neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and spirituality to offer a holistic coaching experience. This powerful combination allows us to create deep, lasting transformations rather than just surface-level improvements.

2. In your experience, how can coaching serve as a catalyst for personal and professional transformation in today’s fast-evolving world?

Coaching acts as a powerful catalyst for personal and professional growth by fostering introspection, self-awareness, and meaningful insights. It helps individuals align their actions with their values, bringing clarity, commitment, and a strong sense of purpose. At its core, coaching drives self-discovery and encourages goal-oriented action.

In the professional world, coaching plays a key role in leadership development. We help leaders cultivate innovation, creativity, and emotional intelligence—essential skills for today’s fast-changing landscape. By focusing on both personal growth and professional excellence, coaching bridges the gap between individual potential and collective success, creating lasting transformation in all areas of life.

3. Coaching often requires a highly personalized approach. How do you balance personalization with the need for scalability in your services?

Balancing personalization and scalability in coaching requires a strategic approach. At Cocoweave, we use AI-powered platforms and advanced assessment tools to scale effectively while maintaining a personal touch.

Beyond technology, our Integrative Coaching Diploma fosters collaboration among diverse professionals, promoting holistic growth. Through initiatives like the SUKUL Foundation, we blend innovation with human connection, ensuring our coaching remains impactful, scalable, and deeply personal.

4. Having worked extensively in HR and corporate training, what key lessons have you applied to life coaching and team coaching practices?

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve gained from HR and corporate training is the power of psychological safety. When people feel safe to express themselves without fear, trust and collaboration thrive. This foundation empowers individuals and helps teams achieve clarity in their goals, driving both personal and professional success.

Another key lesson is the importance of a people-first culture. By prioritizing empathy and understanding team dynamics, we create personalized coaching strategies that align individual aspirations with organizational goals. This ensures people feel valued and supported. These lessons have been essential in fostering goal-driven, empathetic environments where both individuals and teams can thrive.

5. What are the biggest challenges faced by life coaches today, and how do you guide aspiring coaches to navigate these challenges?

One of the biggest challenges life coaches face today is the perception of a saturated market. As coaching grows in popularity, many enter the field without fully grasping the depth and responsibility it requires. This can dilute its impact, as not everyone approaches coaching with the intent to drive meaningful change.

Coaching isn’t for everyone—it’s for those committed to making a real difference. Aspiring coaches must engage in deep self-reflection, understanding their mindset, motivations, and alignment with the profession. When this alignment exists, learning becomes natural, continuous, and transformative.

To help navigate these challenges, I encourage aspiring coaches to adopt a growth-oriented and curiosity-driven mindset. Staying updated with industry trends and treating coaching as a lifelong journey ensures they stand out and create lasting impact.

6. Can you share an example of an innovative project or impactful solution from Cocoweave Coaching International that has made a lasting difference?

One of Cocoweave Coaching International’s most impactful projects is Corporate Nirvana, created to bridge the gap between the world as it is and the world we aspire to—one rooted in values, ethics, simplicity, and service.

This vision led to the SUKUL Foundation, dedicated to promoting diversity, intelligence, equality, and inclusion. Inspired by Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings, the foundation embraces:

1. Kirat Karo – Working with sincerity and dedication.

2. Naam Japo – Staying connected to higher values through meditation.

3. Wand Chhako – Sharing resources and fostering inclusivity.

Through this initiative, we integrate human values with professional excellence, empowering individuals and organizations to thrive while making a meaningful impact. Corporate Nirvana continues to guide our mission of uniting personal growth, corporate responsibility, and community service.

7. Where do you see the future of life and team coaching heading, and how do you envision Cocoweave Coaching contributing to this evolution?

The future of life and team coaching lies in embracing human-centered values amid rapid technological advancements. As the world evolves, the focus will shift toward fostering empathy, sensitivity, and self-awareness to balance the fast-paced, data-driven lifestyle.

At Cocoweave Coaching, we are committed to leading this transformation. Through innovative, holistic programs, we challenge limiting beliefs, reshape perceptions, and drive meaningful growth. By championing global collaboration and contributing to international well-being and resilience projects, we position ourselves as a leader in shaping the future of coaching worldwide.
The post Breaking Barriers: The Future of Coaching with Honey Gudh appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.

In a field often seen as complex and daunting, Vaishali Gupta, the founder of Desire Achiever Investment Services, is transforming financial advisory. She is making it accessible, personalized, and effective. Drawing from her experience as a financial advisor and her time at Angel Broking, Vaishali recognized the urgent need for financial literacy in India. This insight sparked her mission to help individuals and families reach their financial goals through disciplined planning and smart investments.

Since its founding, Desire Achiever Investment Services has stood as a symbol of trust, resilience, and ambition. The firm helps clients navigate the unpredictable global markets while prioritizing long-term goals. In this insightful conversation, Vaishali reflects on her journey, the hurdles she overcame as a female entrepreneur in a competitive industry, and her approach to turning financial dreams into reality. She also discusses her firm’s use of technology, its focus on educating the younger generation, and its strategy to stay ahead in the ever-changing financial landscape.

Join us as we explore Vaishali’s inspiring path and see how Desire Achiever Investment Services is making a lasting impact in the financial advisory world.

BRL– Your journey as a founder is inspiring. What led you to establish Desire Achiever Investment Services, and how has your background shaped your approach to financial advisory?

While studying Certified Financial Planning (CFP) and working at Angel Broking, I noticed a huge lack of financial awareness among people. Many didn’t know how to invest wisely or manage their finances. In India, I observed individuals taking big risks without understanding their long-term consequences. This gap in financial literacy motivated me to take action. Growing up in a family without a professional business background, I had to create my own path. My father’s lack of attention to financial savings taught me the importance of planning and saving. This experience drove me to start Desire Achiever Investment Services. My goal is to help people achieve their financial dreams with the right advice and strategies.

BRL– With growing interest in women entrepreneurship, what challenges did you face as a woman leader in the investment domain, and how did you overcome them?

The challenges were significant. I started without financial support or a client base, relying solely on my determination to move forward. Along the way, I faced moments of doubt, experienced betrayal, and balanced numerous responsibilities. Marriage and motherhood added more complexity. However, I stayed focused on my vision and refused to give up. In the beginning, earning even Rs. One per SIP felt like a monumental task. Over time, persistence brought success, and I established a flourishing business. Balancing family and work taught me resilience and reinforced the value of staying committed to my goals.

BRL– Desire Achiever sounds ambitious and visionary. How did you come up with the name, and what does it signify about your mission?

The name “Desire Achiever” represents my belief that every great accomplishment starts with a strong desire. Clear goals are essential for achieving success. My mission is to guide clients in fulfilling their financial dreams through proper planning and support. Helping others reach their goals has also allowed me to achieve my own.

BRL– With global economic uncertainty and rising interest in alternative investments, how do you guide clients in navigating such volatile markets?

Volatile markets may feel overwhelming, but I encourage clients to stay committed to their long-term goals. I stress the importance of diversification and effective risk management. Mutual funds, for example, are a reliable option for building wealth over time. I create balanced portfolios tailored to each client’s specific needs, whether they involve insurance, fixed-income plans, or mutual funds. When markets dip, I remind clients that these moments often provide valuable opportunities to invest in quality assets at discounted prices.

BRL– There’s a growing trend toward sustainable and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) investments. How do you educate your clients about these options, and do you see them gaining traction in India?

ESG investments are becoming more popular worldwide, including in India. I guide clients to understand the long-term benefits of investing in companies that follow sustainable practices. These investments not only match ethical values but also provide strong financial returns. Moreover, the Indian government promotes ESG investments by encouraging mutual funds and tax-saving tools. With ESG principles, clients can grow their wealth while helping build a sustainable future.

BRL– In an era where AI tools are reshaping financial advisory services, how is Desire Achiever leveraging technology to enhance its offerings?

Technology is transforming the financial advisory landscape. AI offers quick insights and analyzes data effectively. However, it cannot replace the personalized touch of a financial advisor. At Desire Achiever Investment Services, we harness technology to simplify processes, assess portfolios, and provide data-driven recommendations. Even so, the human connection is irreplaceable. Building trust and understanding each client’s unique needs are tasks that AI cannot achieve alone. Our mission is to combine the power of technology with the warmth of personalized service.

BRL– Financial literacy is a significant concern in India. How does your firm approach educating first-time investors, especially millennials and Gen Z clients?

Our mission focuses on educating first-time investors. I make it a priority to build strong client relationships while simplifying financial concepts. Since Millennials and Gen Z favor digital interaction, I use Instagram and LinkedIn to share practical tips and insights. I break down complex financial terms into simple language and provide relatable examples. This approach helps clients make confident and informed decisions. They trust me because I do more than just manage their portfolios—I actively guide them through every step of their investment journey.

BRL– How do you address clients’ behavioral biases, such as panic during market dips or overconfidence during rallies, and ensure they stay on track with their long-term plans?

Behavioral biases often affect decision-making. For example, overconfidence during market rallies and panic during dips can disrupt even well-planned strategies. However, it is essential to stay calm and focused on long-term goals. Market dips, in particular, provide opportunities to buy quality assets at lower prices. Regularly reviewing portfolios and maintaining clear communication help clients stay disciplined. I always highlight that patience and consistency are crucial for achieving financial goals.

BRL– What’s your vision for Desire Achiever in the next five years, and how do you see the role of financial advisory evolving in India’s growing investment ecosystem?

I aim to grow Desire Achiever to manage an impressive AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹250 crores. My goal is to positively impact the financial well-being of over 1,000 families. To achieve this, I will expand our presence through social media and promote financial literacy. India’s investment landscape is constantly evolving, and the need for trusted financial advisors is growing. As markets become more sophisticated, individuals will look for personalized solutions to handle complex financial choices. I am dedicated to being a reliable partner, guiding clients toward long-term financial success.
The post Vaishali Gupta: Leading the Way in Personalized Investment Services and Smart Financial Planning appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.

The prestigious World CX Summit, organized by Trescon in Bengaluru, served as a dynamic hub for over 200+ C-level executives, uniting business leaders to exchange groundbreaking insights, uncover the latest customer experience trends, and celebrate industry excellence. This insightful gathering offered a unique platform for thought-provoking discussions shaping CX’s future.

As a proud media partner, Business Review Live had the privilege of participating in this influential event. During the summit, we seized the opportunity to sit with Kalyani Seshadri, the Lead for Customer Experience at Tanishq, for an exclusive interview. Let’s explore the invaluable insights she shared during our conversation. As a key speaker, Kalyani shared her expertise in delivering exceptional customer experiences, blending luxury and personalization in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Her insightful responses shed light on how Tanishq stays ahead in maintaining a seamless, personalized, and exclusive customer journey across both physical stores and online platforms. This interview has valuable takeaways for our readers looking to elevate their customer experience strategies.

With the rise of online shopping, how has Tanishq adapted its customer experience approach to ensure that the digital journey reflects the same luxury and personal touch as the physical store experience?

We work every day to understand our customers better—what they prefer to buy, where they shop, and what they search for online. Like many businesses, we focus on tracking their behavior, but our key differentiator is listening closely to our customers. We monitor the points they visit most, what they search for, and where they feel gaps in their experience. We continuously refine our approach by gathering regular feedback to improve the overall customer experience.

How does Tanishq balance data usage with customer privacy and empathy to create a personalized online experience?

At Tanishq, jewelry is a highly personalized business, and we aim to maintain that personal touch in our digital journey. We handle large amounts of data but prioritize privacy and trust. We ensure that we collect only the data required to craft a personalized experience while safeguarding our customers’ privacy. Jewelry purchases are emotional and significant, so we approach each interaction with care and empathy. Balancing smart data use with genuine empathy is an ongoing challenge, but it’s crucial for delivering a seamless and meaningful experience, both online and in-store.

This balance is a challenge we face daily at Tanishq. We actively listen to our customers in both our online and in-store experiences. We aim to understand their needs, their expectations, and how we can improve. Whether it’s through design, process, or policy, we continuously strive to do better.

The possibilities for improvement are endless. Customers are evolving every day, and TRESCON’s forum has opened our eyes to areas we haven’t yet explored. Ultimately, it’s about finding the perfect balance between data and empathy. At the end of the day, it’s about people—those selling and those buying. We can’t have one without the other. Balancing this is the key to success.

How does Tanishq integrate customer feedback into its jewellery design process to ensure that new collections meet customer preferences and trends?

There has always been a deep understanding in the jewelry market of the importance of reviving traditional arts and crafts that reflect our country’s heritage. At Tanishq, we strive to bring these back for our customers. For instance, with our Alekhya collection, there were only about 12 craftsmen across the entire country capable of creating this art. Feedback indicated that customers wanted to see more designs in enamel, so with Alekhya, we integrated Kundan Polki, where each piece was crafted using techniques like Piroi and Enamel. We are committed to showcasing the incredible craftsmanship that exists in India.

Our customers push us to innovate as well. They seek something different—designs rooted in tradition but also modern and beautiful. Their constant demand motivates us to create something new and exciting, blending heritage with a contemporary touch. Customer feedback plays a crucial role in guiding our designs and inspiring how we approach each collection.

How does Tanishq maintain a consistent and high-quality customer experience across its various channels, including online and in-store?

Tanishq ensures a consistent and high-quality customer experience across all online and in-store channels by focusing on one fundamental principle: listening to customers. This approach is common among organizations prioritizing customer experience, and it’s our mantra.

The more we listen to our customers, the better we can serve them. Whether it’s a frontline salesperson, the CEO, or a regional sales head, everyone listens to the customer. We can continuously improve our processes and standardizations to meet their needs when we truly listen.

At the end of the day, when the customers shop, they want to leave with what they planned to buy—and feel happy about it. If they receive a little extra, like a warm smile or thoughtful gesture, it adds to the experience. It’s about building an emotional connection with customers and delivering exactly what they need at the right time. This is the foundation of our customer experience strategy.

How does Tanishq ensure its customer service aligns with the brand’s commitment to luxury and exclusivity, and what training or strategies exist to achieve this?

Tanishq ensures its customer service aligns with the brand’s commitment to luxury and exclusivity by staying intensely customer-focused. Our approach is simple but powerful: we put customers at the heart of everything we do. This focus on customer centricity drives Tanishq and the entire Titan Company Limited.

Everything we do revolves around solving for our customers and bringing them exciting new experiences. Our training, brand philosophy, and ethos are all rooted in this belief. We continuously strive to improve by listening closely to our customers, understanding their expectations, and meeting their aspirations. This dedication pushes us to deliver better service each time, maintaining the exclusivity and luxury our brand promises.

Ms Nandini Agrawal is a remarkable young professional who has had tremendous success in her chartered accountancy career. She has a national record of getting AIR 1 in CA Finals at 19 and AIR 31 in CA Inter at 16.
In this interview, she shares the inspiring story of her journey, from preparing for the CA exams through self-study and online resources to adapting to dynamic work environments at top firms like PwC and BCG. Nandini also discusses the valuable lessons she has learned about overcoming setbacks and rejections and how she leverages her platform to motivate others facing similar challenges. Additionally, she shares her professional and personal aspirations for the future and provides insightful advice for young professionals seeking to thrive in their careers.

Can you share more about your journey of achieving remarkable academic success in chartered accountancy?

It all started with my parents’ dream of me becoming a CA. They wanted my brother and me to become CAs and start our firm. After 12th, we made it our dream and embarked on a journey to get this esteemed degree. In 2017, when we started preparing for CA Inter, we had no clue how to start. Firstly, we decided to do self-study since our hometown didn’t have any coaching. Then we came across some YT videos and decided to prepare from online classes and YT videos. We didn’t know much about how to apply for articles, but we figured it out step by step. For articleship, I shifted to Gurgaon when I was only 16, which was a turning point in my life, professionally and personally. The extent to which I’ve evolved as a person in those 3 years is just amazing. Every day, I used to learn about something new which I’d never heard before. I didn’t have access to the best resources throughout my academics, but I’ve always tried to make the best out of the situation. Success is not having everything you want but achieving milestones with whatever you have.

Working in dynamic environments such as PwC and BCG, what valuable lessons have you learned about adapting to different work cultures and industries?

1. Observe – what you can learn from observing can’t be learned by any other means. The more you observe, notice, and analyze, the more you learn. When you move to a new city, especially from a Tier 3/4 to a metro city, you might not feel comfortable asking all the questions because of the fear of looking dumb in front of many. In such situations, observing is the best way to learn.

2. Be resourceful—The more you help someone, the more likely they are to be interested in your learning and growth. Attitude matters! Many times, it’s not the smartest who wins but the one who puts in the effort.

3. Be open to learning—When you move to a city and work with people from diverse cities and cultures, you learn many new things. These things help you develop a new perspective, but if you are not agile and don’t want to change your perception, no one can make you learn new things.

As someone recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records, India Book of Records, and TEDx, how do you leverage your platform and experiences to inspire others, especially those facing similar challenges in their career journeys?

I share my journey as a story so that people in similar situations can motivate themselves that if I can do it, they can. I share my study schedule, revision planner, daily routine, and resources I used for my prep. Further, I also share how my family played an essential role in motivating me.

Looking ahead, what are your professional and personal goals for the future?

One should understand that professional and personal relationships are essential aspects of life, and none should be ignored. Irrespective of how much I work or study, I’ve always tried to maintain good personal relations with my friends and the -people around me, and that’s what I aspire to become.

Professionally, I want to create/work on something that truly solves a problem and will be useful for future generations. At the same time, I aspire to be a good daughter, sister, and friend and be dedicated to the future roles I’ll play personally.

I want to create an ecosystem where my professional and personal life complement each other and not conflict. This is what my mom always keeps telling me.

Can you elaborate on how your experiences with rejection and perseverance have shaped your approach to leadership and mentorship, especially in guiding others through similar career obstacles?

Rejections are part of life, and in fact, they are the reason for achieving something better. KPMG and EnY rejected me because I was under 18. HUL rejected me right after I became a CA, and Bain denied me. One of the Investment Banking firms rejected me because they felt I was too young for the role.

So far in life, I’ve always found something better whenever I’ve been rejected, which I’ve realized in hindsight. Something might seem very appealing to you prima facie, but over time, you know that “good, only that I didn’t get it.” Everyone is rejected at some point, but what differentiates success from others is the power of resilience—recognising and accepting the mistakes.

How do you stay motivated and continuously seek opportunities for growth and development in your career, and what advice would you give to others aspiring to achieve similar levels of success?

When I achieve a target, I absorb, accept, celebrate, and take some time off. Cooling off is one of the reasons that keeps me motivated and energized. For example, after working hard for months, I’d plan a trip to a beach or mountains with friends. Then, I set new goals, achieved them, celebrated, and moved on. These small breaks motivate me (like I keep telling my brother ek baar ye kaam ache se ho jaega, we’ll go for a trip!). Work hard, chill, work harder…..

My advice is to introspect yourself continuously. What went wrong? What can be better? Why are you doing what you are doing? Be clear about the objective and purpose of whatever you do.

I always tell myself that I can do better and that great things are yet to come. This thought process keeps me motivated.

What key factors or qualities differentiate those who bounce back from setbacks and thrive in their careers from those who struggle to overcome obstacles?

Perseverance—Anyone can be motivated to improve after success, but it’s hard to show up when you’ve failed six times continuously. Those with perseverance are empowered to push through challenges, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals.

Resilience – Imagine you failed in 7th standard half-yearly exams; the entire class knows this. The next day, you started working hard even when people bullied you. If you have this attitude – ignoring negativity, working on yourself, accepting failure, you will bounce back someday! Resilience helps you to move on quickly from personal or professional shortcomings.
The post CA Record Holder: Nandini Agrawal’s Inspiring Journey appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.

When hiring a lawyer for the first time, getting legal assistance can be stressful and complicated for entrepreneurs. A lawyer for a startup guides entrepreneurs through the early legal procedures needed to establish and expand their startup. This is where Dastawezz intends to provide legal assistance to entrepreneurs at every stage of their company journey.

The significant impact of COVID-19 might be remote work. The founder of Dastawezz, Shivanjali Malik, was inspired by this circumstance to build an online platform that can provide services that address the legal requirements of startups and established businesses. Dastawezz’s mission is to allow individuals and businesses to conveniently access all of their legal and professional needs from the comfort of their homes at those times.

Highly reputed law firms only handle cases from well-known corporations. Due to the hefty costs associated with the company name, many small businesses or newly formed startups were forced to go empty-handed. Even though many startups would prefer to hire a legal advisor promptly, it’s simply not feasible financially. Startup lawyers won’t be a major priority because they will already be balancing hiring, product development, and overhead expenses.

As startups cannot afford to hire in-house legal counsel or a full-time law firm, they usually rely on readily available templates that are not customized to meet their unique business needs. This frequently leads to non-compliance with certain regulations, lack of proper licenses, legal disputes amongst co-founders, etc.

Even if startups hire specific lawyers to handle the difficulties and challenges, they would still need to find a CA (Chartered Accountant) to handle the taxation aspects and a CS (Company Secretary) to handle the startup’s legal structure. The key problem is that India’s startup sector remains incredibly young. Traditional lawyers are relatively new to this field, leaving them with a limited number of professionals to choose from.

Entrepreneurs might have a multibillion-dollar concept, but if they don’t have access to legal help or expert knowledge, it could result in significant expenses. However, getting stuck in paperwork, legal requirements, and the cost of hiring a lawyer is simple. Fortunately, businesses don’t require expensive legal counsel to begin their operations. However, they do need to set down legal pillars that properly secure everything they are striving to achieve.

Would you please tell us more about yourself and your journey as the Founder of a modern health & wellness start-up?

I grew up in a “Hum educated service class hai!” family. My mother is a doctor, and my dad’s a loyal employee of a Pharma company. After pursuing my Computer Science Degree from Cummins College of Engineering, I worked in Healthcare for 4 years. I’ve always wanted to become an entrepreneur! That is the reason I took up a job in a start-up but never had any clue on how to get started. Had I been alone, I would keep dreaming and never started. But, it all changed when I met Altaf, who was running a food start-up. I still remember the day I went and told my grandmother I was starting a company; she asked concernedly if the market was too bad and I was not getting a job!

India has a lot of brands that sell the “natural” way of combating health issues, hair-care included. In fact, one would say that it is a market with extremely high competition. What makes Traya unique? And what is your take on the competitiveness of space?

In the race to hop onto the next “natural hair fall trend”, brands forget that a one-product approach never works for all. Hair fall is triggered by a number of internal factors like stress, improper diet, irregular sleeping patterns, a weak metabolism, a poor metabolism, or even underlying health conditions like thyroid, PCOS, and more. At Traya, we combine the best of Ayurveda along with Allopathy and Food Science together on one platform to identify the type of hair fall, the stage, and the real reason behind it. Based on this diagnosis, our customers are given a customized plan along with a diet plan and a coach to track their progress. Our most unique product is an Ayurvedic Nasal Drop containing Ghee and Yashtimadhu, which has helped so many people get a good night’s sleep while regrowing their hair.

All hair loss companies today in the market today are either clinics or product companies selling some magic oil, shampoo or serum. We are not a product company; we sell a treatment that delivers results.

Traya is the only company that brings three sciences together on one platform

Each customer at Traya gets a prescription from two doctors (Ayurveda and dermatologist) who customize the plan based on the root cause.

We provide a very well-defined diet plan based on the internal health of the customer.

Our real work begins after the customer buys the plan. Traya provides a coach that stays in constant touch helping the customer get the desired results. Our work ends only when the customer sees regrowth. Meanwhile, we work closely to tweak the plan if needed.

Traya is a digital-first hair-care solution. Could you please elaborate on what exactly your offerings include?

After starting Traya, we realized that more than 90% of hair fall cases (genetic or not) occur due to internal triggers, including hormonal imbalances and nutritional deficiencies. We try to switch the notion of people from shampoos and serums to a doctor-prescribed treatment bringing 3 sciences together to deliver hair regrowth within 5 months. Traya Dx is an online hair diagnosis that identifies the root causes behind hair fall and customizes a treatment plan for them. Each case is analyzed and customized by a team of experts – a Dermatologist, Nutritionist, and an Ayurvedic practitioner depending on the type, stage, and cause behind their hair fall condition. We cater to Stages 1-4 of hair fall with guaranteed results and have a 93% success rate over 1.5L+ Indians. Since our treatment involves consistency, we provide a hair coach who guides the customer through their hair growth journey and helps them stay on track with regular follow-ups.

Traya focuses on Ayurveda, Dermatology and Nutrition to target the cause of hair fall. Why those three sciences? Are they connected?

Hair fall is viewed as a one – dimensional approach. Many people just use dermatological products to get rid of hair fall but think about it, can an onion oil really help you with your low hemoglobin levels? This is why a combinational approach serves best. Ayurveda allows us to take a preventive approach for all internal health triggers, while clinically proven medications from Dermatology work on follicle health to promote regrowth. Lastly, a highly nutritious and well-balanced diet allows our customers to transition toward mindful eating habits that enhance hair growth.

Whom would you say are your primary target audience in the years since your inception? Are you seeing more of a female base, or do you have a larger share from men with hair fall?

The average age of a Traya customer today is 28 years old. Our customers are 70% men and 30% women, probably because the signs of hair fall are easily identified in a man compared to a woman.

What made you go the digital way instead of setting up retail outlets with a panel of experts? Aren’t Indians more comfortable with a physical point-of-purchase for health-oriented products?

Traya Offering was completely digitized ever since we started in 2019. We treat hair fall by combining 3 sciences – Ayurveda, Dermatology, and Nutrition and to bring out all these 3 in a clinical setup would not be possible. In the midst of a pandemic, being a completely digital service was the ideal thing to do to make the entire process hassle-free, quicker, and easily accessible to all. The biggest challenge would have been to switch the notion of people from a physical clinic to an entire treatment curated by an online diagnosis. On the bright side, we were able to cater to people facing hair fall issues anywhere in the world.

With many brands diversifying their business models, do you also have any plans of moving to an omnichannel business structure?

Although we wish to move to an omnichannel business structure, our current and major focus is to acquire customers through our website. However, we are listed on Amazon.

What is the way forward for Traya? Where do you see the brand in the next 3 years?

We want to be synonymous with the term hair fall and hair care and be known for our efficacy and honesty. If in India someone talks of hair fall, they should know Traya has a solution for it. We also wish to venture out into new avenues of chronic health concerns.

The ultimate goal is to get every young Indian onto the #thetrayawayoflife to manage lifestyle-triggered health issues. Today we use the Traya philosophy for hair which we hope to take to every household. In short, we wish to be synonymous with the term hair fall and be known for our efficacy and honesty.

About: Saloni Anand, Co-founder of Traya Health. India’s leading new-age health-tech start-up provides doctor-prescribed hair loss treatment to both men and women based on their concerns. Their unique approach combines the best of Ayurveda, Dermatology, and Nutrition to deliver a holistic solution for a complicated problem like hair loss. As a result, Traya health has successfully treated over 1.5L+ customers with hair loss conditions.
The post Traya Co-founder: Saloni Anand appeared first on Business Review Live | Business News, Reviews | Entrepreneur Stories, Interviews | Kerala | India.

Food is rational. It is culture, habit, identity, and craving, says Manali Vora, the founder of Solidarity Nutritions. Solidarity Nutritions was founded in 2018 with an overall experience of a decade in the health sector to provide the best dietary support & health supplements to all individuals, including sportspeople, athletes, bodybuilders, and sedentary individuals. In an interview with Business Review Live, she shares her insights on diet and how a healthy diet can be structured from food available in your kitchen itself.

Many parts of the world are chillier and darker by this time of year. Chilling weather might trigger an evolutionary relic inside us to fatten up to these harsh environmental conditions. Could those factors affect the foods you are hankering for?

Seasonal changes might influence the hormonal balance of glucocorticoids, leptin, and ghrelin, which control hunger and appetite.

Diminished sunlight plays a major role in food cravings. Sunlight is one factor that triggers the release of the hormone serotonin, a neurotransmitter that has been shown to boost mood significantly. Carbohydrate intake increases serotonin levels, and people may crave carbohydrates to improve their mood. That is particularly seen in people with seasonal depression who may have lower serotonin levels and mood because of reduced exposure to sunlight.

People usually turn towards comfort foods, mostly high in calories and binging more than on regular stress-free days to cope with this. Cravings for chocolate, cakes, cheese, or croissants in winters, especially during the global covid 19 pandemic, do not imply that overindulgence is a wise decision. These are ‘hedonic hunger’, and moderate indulgence can satisfy our appetites more healthily.

According to Dietitian Manali Vora, swapping Ghee with refined oils is the biggest blunder of modern-day cooking; fancy promising oils are the culprits. According to her, Ghee consists of fat-soluble vitamins, which aid weight loss.

Ghee plays a vital role in maintaining hormonal balance and maintaining healthy cholesterol. The high heating point of Ghee prevents it from producing free radicals that damage the cell functions on cellular levels. Pure Ghee is made of cow’s milk. It contains plenty of omega-3 fatty acids along with Vitamin A. Beyond kitchens, Ghee also finds a coveted space in beauty and hair care rituals.

Ghee is good when consumed in moderate quantity, and so is Jaggery. But the combination of the two is an Ayurveda works wonders for many ailments as it is packed with everything our body needs.

Ghee and Jaggery make a lethal combination as the mixture has calcium, selenium, zinc, manganese, magnesium, iron, fatty acids, and vitamins. Rich in iron and essential fatty acids, this combo won’t just keep the sweet tooth at bay but also help balance hormones and boost immunity.

The combination also has calcium which is excellent for the bones.

Never Give up On Ghee!

Ghee is a natural lubricant with omega 3 fatty acids, which combats the pain caused by Arthritis.

It enhances the digest fire (digestive fire), improving absorption and assimilation.

Ghee is a natural vigour (Ojas) nutrient that is the subtle essence of all the body tissues (dhatu).

Ghee improves memory and strengthens the brain and nervous system.

Ghee lubricates the connective tissues present inside the body, making the body more flexible.

Concerning the three doshas, Ghee pacifies Vata and Pitta.

Some benefits of Ghee

Anti-ageing: The antioxidant-rich mixture helps in giving a freshness to the skin. It slows downs the signs of ageing, keeping wrinkles at bay before time.

Clear skin: The duo helps in eliminating all the toxins from the body, cleansing our blood and this, in turn, keeps the skin clean, preventing a regular occurrence of pimples.

Migraine: Migraines are a common phenomenon these days, especially those who sit in front of the screen all day long due to work. Having a bit of Jaggery and organic Ghee is very supportive in that arena.

Orthocare: Joint pains can be taken care of, especially in the cold winter season. One of the reasons why some of our grandparents walk straight at their age as this is a combo that has been popular for ages. It proves to be a great relief in relieving joint pains. But remember, moderation is the key.

Menstruation: when the combo is had with a bit of ginger, it helps in cleansing the blood, and the amount of iron in the blood is also balanced. Jaggery has the presence of folate, which helps in giving strength to the blood. The folate in Jaggery gives strength to the blood.

Digestion: It is one very crucial benefit that Ghee and Jaggery have. It helps relieve gastric problems and makes it easy for the digestive juices to do their job. The Ghee lubricates the intestines, which in turn prevents constipation & improves bowel movements.

Ghee for weight loss: Since Ghee is rich in omega 3 fats (DHA) and omega 6 (CLA), it can be great for weight loss. Omega 6 fats have been shown to increase lean body mass while reducing fat mass. Experts have also found that Ghee helps in mobilising fat cells to be burnt for energy. Ghee is packed with essential amino acids that can shrink the size of fat cells. Also, omega 3 fatty acid in Ghee can help you lose inches and ultimately help you shed those extra kilos.

One-two small spoons of Ghee is the advisable amount daily. It is advised to have Ghee if you are trying to lose weight, says Dietitian Manali Vora. She adds that since Ghee is almost 99.5 percent fat, the quantity must be watched; anything more than 2 spoons is not recommended, especially in clinical cases.

Also, if we have other sources of omega 3 like flaxseeds, walnuts we actually may not need Ghee as a source of omega 3, explains Dietitian Manali Vora.
